About Us

We are building a new commercial aircraft Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization in Ottawa, Ontario, with a vision to establish a trusted Canadian aviation maintenance provider.

Our organization is in its development and establishment stage, working toward obtaining an Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) certificate from Transport Canada.

We are committed to developing a maintenance organization built around technical excellence, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, quality assurance and a strong safety culture.

We are seeking an accomplished Person Responsible for Maintenance (PRM) to join our founding leadership team.

This is a unique opportunity to help establish and shape a commercial aircraft maintenance organization from the ground up.

Reporting to the Accountable Executive, the successful candidate will lead the technical maintenance function, guide the organization's AMO certification process and establish the maintenance management framework required for sustainable operations.

You will play a central role in shaping the organization's technical direction, maintenance standards, personnel structure and long-term operational capabilities.

  • Establish maintenance procedures, technical standards and operational controls.
  • Develop the organization's maintenance capabilities and workforce.
  • Oversee maintenance planning, execution and technical documentation.

  • Lead the technical aspects of the Transport Canada AMO certification process.
  • Develop and implement the Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM).
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian Aviation Regulations, including CAR 571 and CAR 573.

Quality & Safety Management

  • Establish and oversee the Quality Assurance Program.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Promote safety reporting, risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure appropriate corrective action and compliance monitoring processes.
  • Integrate human factors principles into maintenance operations.

Executive & Organizational Development

  • Work closely with the Accountable Executive on organizational strategy and resource requirements.
  • Advise on maintenance facilities, equipment, staffing and technical investments.
  • Establish maintenance management structures and reporting procedures.
  • Support business development through technical assessments and maintenance capability planning.
  • Contribute to the organization's long-term MRO expansion strategy.
Required Qualifications

  • At least six months of qualifying experience within the preceding two years.
  • Experience performing or directly supervising maintenance activities of the type proposed for the organization.

  • Previous experience as a PRM or senior AMO maintenance manager.
  • Experience establishing or expanding a Transport Canada-approved AMO.
  • Commercial airline, regional aircraft or MRO experience.
  • Experience with maintenance SMS and human factors programs.

Candidates without an AME license must satisfy the applicable Transport Canada examination requirements.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Proposed annual compensation negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
  • Full-time leadership position.
  • Opportunity to join the organization's founding management team.
  • Direct involvement in establishing a new commercial aviation MRO.
  • Opportunity to shape technical operations, regulatory compliance and organizational development.

Why Join Us?

We are not simply recruiting someone to manage an established maintenance department.

We are looking for a maintenance leader who wants to help build one.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the foundation of a new Canadian aviation business, establish its technical and regulatory framework, develop its maintenance organization and help shape its future within the commercial aviation industry.

Application Process

Interested candidates are invited to submit their résumé through LinkedIn.

Please include details of relevant aircraft maintenance experience, AMO management responsibilities, regulatory qualifications and previous leadership experience.

Regulatory Notice: This position is associated with an organization in the process of establishing its AMO. Any formal PRM appointment is conditional upon verification of qualifications, completion of applicable Transport Canada requirements and acceptance of the candidate's qualifications and knowledge.
