The Opportunity:

We're looking to fill an opening for a Portfolio Administrator to join our Asset Management team.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, MAP Trading, the Portfolio Administrator is responsible for the daily portfolio administration of Credential's Separately Managed Account (SMA) programs and support of other investment management solutions.

What your day looks like:

Manage client and inventory accounts on the Portfolio Management & Custodial systems and resolving any data discrepancies
Execute discretionary trades as outlined on the Investment Policy Statement and agreements
Implement and monitor client trade restrictions
Assist with monthly fee-billing
Generate quarterly investment reports and supervision reports
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage client accounts
Maintain Aviso's investment materials such as fact sheets, performance sheets and quarterly reports
Provide support to Advisors on Aviso's product offerings
Assist Portfolio Managers with investment proposals and presentations
Support Aviso's Investment Strategy Committee with market research, analysis, and presentations

Requirements

Your experience and skills:

Post-secondary degree in business or a related discipline
Working towards CFA (at least level I)
Successful completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct & Practices Handbook (CPH) and and Wealth Management Essentials (WME)
3+ years' experience in the investment industry
Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Representative within 30 days
Working experience with Portfolio Management software, Bloomberg or Morningstar preferred
Demonstrated experience and thorough understanding of investment concepts, analytics and investment administration market research, product development and sales would be beneficial
Intermediate level of knowledge with MS Office Suite programs and advanced level of Excel knowledge.
Knowledge of and experience with CGI Wealth360 and Dataphile is an asset
Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

Administer client and inventory accounts across portfolio management and custodial systems, execute discretionary trades, monitor restrictions, and support fee billing and investment reporting. Maintain investment materials, assist advisors and portfolio managers with product information and proposals, and contribute market research and presentations to the Investment Strategy Committee.

Requirements

Requires a post-secondary degree in business or a related discipline, at least three years of investment-industry experience, and progress toward CFA Level I or higher. Candidates must have the Canadian Securities Course, Conduct & Practices Handbook, and Wealth Management Essentials, and be licensed or eligible for Registered Representative licensing within 30 days; portfolio software, Bloomberg or Morningstar, advanced Excel, and English fluency are also sought.
