Summary

  • Location: Montreal
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (in-office presence required 3x/week)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Cash Management Operations, Corporate Treasury, and business groups globally to provide technology solutions for daily financial transactions.
  • Focus on delivering innovative payment and funding capabilities as part of a strategic initiative.
  • Utilize a technical stack including Java Spring Boot for server-side, Angular for Web UI, and databases like DB2 SQL and SQL Server.
  • Embrace a cloud-first strategy, with development and DevOps experience in Azure being beneficial.
  • Engage with technologies such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and Docker, with a desire to learn and apply new technologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Core Java application development.
  • Strong development skills with databases and SQL.
  • Understanding of CI/CD tooling like GitHub Actions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with business stakeholders and global team members.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum-based global environment.
  • Passion for technology and eagerness to understand the latest software and engineering practices.
  • Interest in learning the business to apply technology solutions effectively.
  • Experience with BDD using frameworks such as Cucumber.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with financial markets and asset classes, particularly Payments.
  • Experience with technologies such as Kafka, MQ, Angular, Docker, Apache Camel, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OAuth, OTEL Observability tooling, PKI, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud DevOps, and agentic programming.
  • Familiarity with the SWIFT network.
