Summary

  • Location: Montreal
  • Work Mode: Hybrid (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)
  • Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior ITAM risk, process, and operations subject-matter expert.
  • Assess ITAM risks and control gaps across the end-to-end asset lifecycle.
  • Translate identified risks into well-designed control objectives and requirements.
  • Design or enhance control instances for independent testing.
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures, process flows, and governance documentation.
  • Lead current-state assessments and root-cause analysis.
  • Partner with asset owners and process owners to implement controls.
  • Define key risk indicators, control indicators, and operational metrics.
  • Review the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of IT asset and configuration data.
  • Provide credible challenge to control owners while balancing risk reduction and business priorities.
  • Prepare concise, executive-ready materials for governance forums and senior management.
  • Support risk and control self-assessments, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Monitor relevant ITAM industry practices and incorporate insights into the control framework.
  • Independently plan and deliver multiple workstreams.
  • Build trusted relationships and manage challenging interactions professionally.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT asset management, technology risk, or a closely related discipline.
  • In-depth, hands-on working experience in the IT asset management domain.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and articulate technology and operational risks.
  • Strong understanding of risk and control concepts.
  • Proven ability to develop or improve policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ability to operate independently and deliver quality outcomes with limited direction.
  • Self-starter mindset with strong ownership and attention to detail.
  • Strong stakeholder-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple functions and geographies.
  • Proficiency with standard productivity, workflow, reporting, and presentation tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a large, regulated financial-services or similarly complex enterprise environment.
  • Experience with enterprise ITAM, CMDB, discovery, workflow, or IT service management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of hardware, software, and cloud asset management practices.
  • Experience supporting first-line technology risk and control programs.
  • Experience designing control metrics and executive-level risk summaries.
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks and standards relevant to ITAM and technology controls.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CSAM, CHAMP, CITAM, or IAITAM credentials.
  • Experience leading control transformation or process redesign programs.
