Original job description

ABOUT BOSA CONSTRUCTION

Our approach today is the same as it was 35 years ago: quality, commitment and integrity creates projects and partnerships that last decades. This was the mindset of our founders who started our company all those years ago, and it continues to drive how we work decades later.

From humble builder to forward-thinking construction partner, we’ve always been focused on moving our legacy forward through hands-on mentorship and, more recently, our Bosa Construction Legacy Scholarship to support future leaders in the trades.

YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY

Bosa Construction is hiring an estimator to support our passionate and relationship driven formwork division. You will partner closely with Bosa Construction leadership, Project Managers and our current and future trade partners; supporting an accurate, detailed and timely estimate to bid and win on formwork jobs.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble all estimating input including labour, material, equipment and trade pricing;
Collaborate with peers in virtual construction, operations and project management to form a value-add preconstruction team;
Prepare and analyze labour needs and breakdowns to assist with budgets and planning;
Review designs to identify areas of improvement and opportunity for cost efficiencies;
Complete project scope of work reviews to ensure completeness of estimates, and all technical specifications, subcontractor scopes, and general condition items have been quantified and costed;
Build strong relationships and long-term partnership opportunities with our trades and suppliers;
Support other pre-construction tasks like scheduling, design support, and site coordination as needed;
Track estimated versus actual costs over the life of the project.

Skills & Experience

At least three to five (3-5) solid years of experience working on complex projects from beginning to end, ideally in the concrete and formwork industries;
Able to balance multiple deliverables at different phases of completion and complexity;
Knowledge of trade practices, market conditions, and building materials;
Experience and comfortable working with on-screen takeoff tools and Excel;
Certificate, diploma, or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, and/or PQS;
High level of attention to detail to drive accuracy and consistency throughout your work;
Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels of employees and owners, architects, and subtrades.

YOUR REWARDS

We’re committed to the success and development of our people and recognize that they are the drivers behind our success. We provide our teams with the tools and support they need to strive, thrive, and advance their long-term career here.

The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 to $115,000, depending on experience, plus a competitive bonus program. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

Want to love what you do? We’re always looking for talented, values-driven, passionate people who take pride in their work. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by Talent Acquisition, and all applicant information will be kept on file for future opportunities.
