Sales Executive - Transportation & Logistics
B&A Transport is seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented Sales Executive to drive new business development and revenue growth throughout Montreal, Quebec, and surrounding markets. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC.
This role is ideal for a proven sales professional with a strong hunter mentality who thrives on prospecting, building relationships, and closing new business. The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding B&A Transport's customer base by identifying opportunities, securing new accounts, and developing lasting partnerships with shippers, manufacturers, distributors, freight forwarders, and other transportation customers.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Executive will play a critical role in strengthening B&A Transport's market presence and contributing directly to the company's long-term growth and profitability.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers, procurement teams, and key stakeholders.
- Present customized transportation and logistics solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Prepare pricing proposals, quotations, and service agreements.
- Negotiate contracts and rates to secure profitable long-term business.
- Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and prospecting through closing and account onboarding.
- Collaborate closely with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging industry opportunities.
- Represent B&A Transport at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Contribute to sales strategies and initiatives that drive sustainable growth and market expansion.
Qualifications
- Proven track record of generating new business and consistently exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Minimum 5-10 years of sales experience within transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight brokerage, or a related industry.
- Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated success in prospecting, lead generation, cold calling, and closing new accounts.
- Existing network of transportation, logistics, manufacturing, distribution, or shipping contacts is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of FTL, LTL, expedited freight, cross-border transportation, dedicated fleet, and warehousing services.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to identify customer challenges and develop customized logistics solutions.
- Highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven.
- Professional proficiency in English or French required.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field is preferred.
