Original job description

SJ Group is a diverse collective of problem solvers for the built environment, continually reimagining ways to create a smart and sustainable future.

Headquartered in Singapore, the Group brings together specialist businesses across architecture, engineering, design and consultancy, including AETOS, Atelier Ten, B+H, KTP, Prostruct, Robert Bird Group, SAA, SMEC and Surbana Jurong.

Our teams provide multidisciplinary services across the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to delivery and management, supporting clients across sectors including transportation, water, aviation, healthcare, hospitality and renewable energy.

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented AEUK People & Culture Coordinator to join our People & Culture team on a six-month fixed-term contract, supporting SJ Group entities across the Americas (Canada and the USA), Europe and the United Kingdom.

The role will provide day-to-day People & Culture support across the employee lifecycle, including HR administration, Workday, compliance and Health & Safety. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, works accurately, manages competing priorities and identifies issues before they become problems

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, leaves, transfers, promotions and employee records across the region.
Maintain accurate employee data and complete People & Culture processes in Workday.
Prepare employment letters, contracts, amendments and other People & Culture documentation.
Support recruitment, offers, pre-employment requirements and new-starter onboarding.
Track probation periods, performance reviews and other key People & Culture deadlines.
Support People & Culture administration and compliance requirements across Canada, the USA, Europe and the UK, working with local teams and escalating jurisdiction-specific matters where appropriate.
Maintain Health & Safety documentation, training records, incident records and compliance trackers.
Provide day-to-day support to managers and employees, escalating complex or higher-risk matters appropriately.
Produce People & Culture reports and trackers and support improvements to processes, systems and data quality.
Support regional People & Culture projects and initiatives as required.
Work collaboratively with People & Culture colleagues and stakeholders across SJ Group entities.

Qualifications & Experience

Previous experience in an HR/People & Culture Coordinator, HR Administrator or HR Generalist role.
Experience supporting the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, documentation and offboarding.
Hands-on Workday experience, including employee data, business processes and reporting.
Experience supporting employees across multiple locations or jurisdictions would be advantageous.
Experience supporting HR compliance and Health & Safety activities.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Work Arrangement

This position is based in Toronto and requires four days per week in the office, with one

day working remotely.

team. B+H delivers strategic consulting and high-value design solutions that shape

spaces, communities, and economies. At B+H we push the limits of creativity by

acknowledging the humanity in the creative process. We believe in letting things get a

found something truly new, then we reassemble it into the clean, well-executed project

our clients expect from us. Join us if you’re willing to try new things, to go bold, and to let

the best idea win. If you’re willing to stretch yourself and you want to create something

may need to help you make an informed decision about joining us.

If there’s anything more we can do to support you, please let us know, we’re here to

help.

Agency

Please note that any unsolicited resumes or CVs submitted through our website or

directly to SJ Group employees’ personal email accounts will be considered the

property of Robert Bird Group. As such, we will not be liable for any agency fees

associated with these submissions.
