The Company

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Canada, Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries.

Position

Millwright, Nunavut

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Maintenance, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, ball mills, vibrating screens, gearboxes, concentrators and other fixed plant equipment;
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and equipment failures, and carry out repairs with minimal supervision;
Assist in equipment installations, rebuilds, and overhauls;
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals;
Collaborate with mill operations and other trades to plan and execute maintenance work safely and efficiently;
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used;
Ensure work is performed in compliance with safety procedures, company standards, and environmental regulations; and
Operate hand and power tools, rigging equipment, and lifting devices safely.

Desired Competencies And Requirements

Four (4) years’ post-qualification experience in an industrial or mining environment, preferably in gold or mineral processing. Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, crushers, mills, vibrating screens, concentrators, conveyors and alignment tools;
Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification or Nunavut Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) CoQ;
Proficiency in SAP CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite; and
Valid driver’s license.

Compensation And Benefits

For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $157,092.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $57.00 and overtime rate of $85.50) in a work year.
