We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team - a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Here, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, united by a shared commitment to making a difference - for our clients, our communities, and one another.

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory and accounting firm dedicated to building better futures. With global reach and local roots, we combine the scale of a network with the trust of strong relationships. From audit and tax to consulting and specialist advisory services, we help clients navigate complexity and seize opportunity with clarity.

“There is no limit to the growth opportunities at Baker Tilly. We pride ourselves on promoting talent when we see it, and work with each professional to define what success means for them.”

Your role:

Appointment Management: Schedule and coordinate client appointments with the appropriate staff members. Maintain the appointment calendar, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Communication Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communication, ensuring messages are relayed accurately and promptly to the appropriate parties. Disseminate information effectively within the organization.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to various departments within the accounting firm, such as preparing documents, filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks as required.
Confidentiality and Security: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information and ensure the security of client records and files. Adhere to data protection policies and procedures.
Problem Resolution: Handle client inquiries, complaints, or issues professionally and efficiently, escalating matters as necessary to the appropriate individuals or departments.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and staff members to ensure smooth operations and effective teamwork. Support other administrative staff when required.
Document Preparation: Review, modify, and prepare general templates, letters, reports, PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, and Excel workbooks. Support preparation and assembly of tax returns, financial statements, and audit packages
Database Maintenance: Update and maintain internal databases to ensure information is current and accessible.

What you bring to the table:

Post-secondary diploma or degree.
Minimum 3-5 year’s work experience in a professional services work environment in a similar role. Customer facing client service experience is considered an asset.
Familiarity with CaseWare, Case view and Doc-It would be an asset as is familiarity with accounting terminology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and friendly demeanor.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and work well under pressure.
Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Where you’ll work:

Walkerville, ON

Salary range:

Will be communicated at a later stage in the hiring process.

We offer a very competitive salary and benefits package based on experience and qualifications, as well as the opportunity to excel and advance your career in a dynamic public accounting environment.

When you join Baker Tilly, you become part of something bigger - an ambitious, forward-thinking company that puts people first. Ideas matter, perspectives count, and every contribution builds a stronger future. If you’re ready to make an impact, we’re ready to meet you.

While we appreciate all applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
