We are looking for a CPA Candidate to join our team - a role where your expertise will drive meaningful outcomes and your ambition will help shape what comes next. Here, you’ll collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals, united by a shared commitment to making a difference - for our clients, our communities, and one another.

Baker Tilly is a leading advisory and accounting firm dedicated to building better futures. Your role

Participate in the planning, execution, and completion of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
Prepare financial statements, working papers, and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable professional standards.
Prepare and progressively begin to review personal and corporate income tax returns, increasing in complexity over time.
Identify issues, ask strong questions, and propose practical solutions throughout engagements.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients to support smooth engagement delivery and meet timelines.
Maintain accurate, organized documentation and files in line with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
Support and collaborate with junior team members, offering guidance and reviewing work where appropriate.
Contribute to process improvements by sharing ideas that enhance efficiency, quality, or the client experience.

What you bring to the table

A University or College degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Currently enrolled in, or actively pursuing, the CPA designation.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
A growth mindset, eagerness to learn, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Bilingualism in French/English is considered an asset.

What’s in it for you?

Meaningful career growth through structured performance management, ongoing feedback, and opportunities to advance.
A competitive total rewards package, including paid overtime, comprehensive benefits, and RRSP matching.
Flexible work arrangements that empower you to balance life and career with confidence.
Summer hours so you can make the most of the season.
Enhanced protection benefits, including life, dependent life, critical illness, and accidental death & dismemberment coverage.
A Health Care Spending Account to support your individual wellness needs.
Annual fitness reimbursement to encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) offering confidential support whenever you need it.
Generous vacation entitlements that grow with your tenure.
Parental leave top‑up program to support you through life’s major milestones.
Paid sick days and bereavement leave to give you time when it matters most.
Client and employee referral incentives recognizing the value of your network.
Firm‑sponsored social events throughout the year that bring our teams together.
Paid time off for board service and volunteer activities, reflecting our commitment to community impact.

…and much more!

Where you’ll work:

Sudbury, North Bay or Timmins

Job type:

Permanent, Full-time

Your schedule:

Monday to Friday

Salary range: $50,000-$75,000 per annum.

Position status:
