Original job description
Lead with purpose. Build a strong team. Make a meaningful difference in early learning.
Are you a passionate early learning leader who believes that great childcare starts with supported educators, strong relationships, and a thriving centre culture?
At Bambini Learning Group, we’re looking for a Centre Director for our Hamptons location in Edmonton who leads with warmth, confidence, and accountability. We want someone who can bring people together, develop a strong team, build meaningful relationships with families, and create an environment where children and educators can flourish.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, we’d love to meet you.
Why Join Bambini?
We believe centre leadership should focus on what matters most: people, relationships, culture, and quality early learning.
Our Directors are supported by a collaborative leadership structure that includes our Executive Director, People & Culture, Enrollment, and Administrative teams, along with our Pedagogistas, who provide guidance on programming and pedagogical practice.
With enrollment, invoicing, payroll, and many administrative functions managed centrally, you can spend more time where your leadership makes the greatest difference: supporting educators, connecting with families, and strengthening your centre.
What we offer:
- Competitive annual salary of $66,000–$80,000, based on experience
- RRSP matching
- Extended health and dental benefits and life insurance
- Paid sick and wellness days, plus paid vacation
- Discounted on-site childcare
- Tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities
- Leadership mentorship and opportunities for career advancement
- Employee appreciation events
- On-site parking
About the Role
As Centre Director, you will lead the day-to-day operations and culture of our Hamptons centre while ensuring a high standard of care, professionalism, and early learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building trusting relationships with educators, children, and families
- Coaching, mentoring, and developing educators to support their growth
- Creating a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture
- Overseeing staffing, scheduling, and daily centre operations
- Maintaining health, safety, and licensing standards in accordance with Alberta requirements
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, staff retention, and performance management
- Partnering with our Pedagogistas to strengthen programming and pedagogical practice
- Collaborating with the broader leadership team to continuously improve centre quality and outcomes

We strive to create spaces where children have the freedom to wonder, explore, connect, and discover, while educators feel supported to reflect, learn, and grow.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a thoughtful, capable leader who can balance strong operational management with a people-centred approach.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Alberta Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification
- At least one year of leadership experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Strong understanding of Alberta Child Care Licensing requirements
- Experience leading, coaching, and supporting a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Level C First Aid & CPR
- A current Vulnerable Sector Check or the ability to obtain one
Previous Centre Director experience is an asset, as is familiarity with Reggio Emilia-inspired practice, emergent curriculum, or nature-based learning.
