About The Role

We are seeking a Benefits Program Specialist to support the delivery, analysis, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s benefits program. In this role, you will contribute to projects and operational initiatives that strengthen program effectiveness, support informed decision-making, and enhance the employee experience.

Reporting to the Director of Compensation and Benefits, you will work as part of a collaborative Compensation and Benefits team and apply your benefits knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities to support practical solutions and meaningful outcomes across the Bank.

What You Will Do

You will lead and contribute to projects and operational initiatives that enhance the effectiveness, sustainability, and employee experience of the Bank’s benefits program. You will apply your expertise, analytical skills, and project management discipline to identify opportunities for improvement, support informed decision-making, and help implement meaningful change for benefits and compensation programs.

In This Role, You Will

Use your knowledge of group benefit plan management to understand issues, explore options and help shape improvements.
Help with planning, budgeting and the annual premium renewal by monitoring and analyzing costs, forecasts and emerging pressures.
Turn information into insight by using data, reporting, technology, and AI to spot trends, improve processes, and simplify documentation.
Partner with HR colleagues, benefits carriers and consultants to support service delivery .
Bring people together to work through questions, align priorities, clarify next steps, and move benefits and compensation initiatives forward.

Nice-to-have

Experience with SAP SuccessFactors or a similar HRIS
Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), and/or other relevant HR certifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification

Your combined education and work experience demonstrate that you have the competencies required for the position and are effective at learning and applying new skills.

Language requirement

The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). Hybrid Work Model

The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $94,193 to $110,816 (job grade 16)
The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (3%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
Flexible and comprehensive benefits so you can choose the level of health and dental coverage that meets your needs
Extra vacation days (up to five each year) that you can purchase to add to your vacation entitlement
Option to join the indexed, defined-benefit pension plan after 24 consecutive months of service
