Are you hands-on, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment? Bannister GP Kia is looking for a dependable Tire Technician to join our Service team in Grande Prairie, AB.

The Drive Ahead

As a Tire Technician, you’ll help keep our customers safely on the road while supporting the day-to-day operations of our busy Service Department. Your responsibilities will include:

Mounting, balancing, rotating, installing, and removing tires
Completing seasonal tire changeovers efficiently and accurately
Inspecting tires for wear, damage, and safety concerns
Performing tire repairs when appropriate
Checking and adjusting tire pressures to manufacturer specifications
Safely operating tire-changing, balancing, and shop equipment
Moving and storing tires and wheels as required
Identifying concerns and communicating them to the Service team
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Assisting technicians and other members of the Service team when needed
Following dealership procedures and all workplace health and safety requirements

Performance Essentials

Previous tire shop or automotive experience is an asset
Experience mounting and balancing tires is preferred
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
Comfortable working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment
Ability to safely lift and handle tires and wheels throughout the workday
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, quality workmanship
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
Ability to stay organized and productive during busy seasonal tire periods
