About the Property

Rosemont Residences is an established luxury rental apartment building in downtown Toronto, offering 424 furnished and unfurnished suites and 9 retail outlets on the ground floor. Since 2005, Rosemont has provided residents with a flexible, high-quality residential experience in the heart of the Entertainment District.

As we continue to grow our furnished suite business, we are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to build new corporate relationships, generate business opportunities, and drive revenue growth across our furnished residence offering.

About The Role

The Business Development Manager – Furnished Residences will be responsible for developing and executing a proactive corporate sales strategy to grow Rosemont’s furnished accommodation business.

This is a hands-on business development role focused on identifying new opportunities, building relationships with corporate decision-makers and referral partners, converting prospects into business, and growing existing accounts.

The successful candidate will be a natural relationship builder and proactive sales professional who is comfortable prospecting, networking, presenting, negotiating, and closing business. They will have a strong network in corporate housing, extended stay and/or employee relocation segments. They will maintain a strong understanding of the Toronto furnished accommodation market and work closely with the General Manager and internal marketing team to maximize opportunities and support occupancy and revenue objectives.

What You'll Do

Develop and execute a proactive business development strategy to grow furnished residence revenue, occupancy, and corporate accounts.
Identify, prospect, and convert new corporate clients and business opportunities across relevant industries and market segments.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate decision-makers, HR and travel teams, relocation companies, travel management companies, and referral partners.
Conduct outbound sales through calls, email, networking, referrals, industry events, and in-person meetings.
Manage a qualified sales pipeline and consistently follow up to convert opportunities into bookings and long-term accounts.
Conduct property tours, sales presentations, and client meetings; prepare and negotiate corporate rates and agreements within approved parameters.
Develop existing accounts by identifying opportunities for increased bookings, longer stays, repeat business, and expanded partnerships.
Monitor account production, lead sources, booking activity, and conversion performance to identify revenue opportunities.
Monitor competitor pricing, availability, offerings, and market trends to identify new opportunities and support competitive positioning.
Partner with Marketing to support sales campaigns, lead-generation initiatives, promotional activities, and sales collateral.
Develop revenue forecasts, monitor occupancy and revenue performance, and evaluate the ROI of business development initiatives.
Maintain accurate sales, account, pipeline, and performance data and prepare regular reports and insights for leadership.
Provide management with recommendations on market opportunities, pricing, revenue growth, and competitive positioning.
Represent Rosemont at relevant industry conferences, networking events, and community functions.

What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or a similar B2B sales role.
Proven experience generating new business through proactive prospecting, networking, relationship development, and direct outreach.
Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and convert prospects into clients or revenue.
Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
Experience managing and growing corporate accounts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized with the ability to independently manage multiple prospects, accounts, and priorities.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, target-oriented environment.
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and CRM/sales tracking tools.
Ability to build credibility and relationships with clients and business partners at various levels.
