What You'll Do
This role offers variety, technical challenges, and the opportunity to work on a wide range of heavy-duty equipment. In this role, you will:
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs on property, trucks, trailers, equipment, and vehicles
- Inspect and evaluate equipment operating conditions to identify maintenance needs
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and diagrams
- Modify and maintain existing equipment and systems to ensure reliable operation
- Complete all maintenance activities in accordance with company policies and safety standards
- Participate in technical training to maintain and expand industry knowledge
- Support additional maintenance-related duties as required

Required
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities
- CSO certification
- Valid driver's license (Class 1 with air break endorsement is an asset)
- First Aid certification
- H2S Alive certification
- CVIP License
- Must provide and maintain your own tools
- Ability to work flexible hours based on operational requirements, including some weekends as needed
- Local candidates preferred
- Combination of shop-based and outdoor/site work
- Hours are dependent on operational requirements and are not guaranteed

Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on trucks, trailers, vehicles, and heavy equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. Interpret technical diagrams, modify equipment as needed, follow company safety standards, and participate in ongoing technical training.
Requirements
A Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, CSO certification, and the ability to interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical diagrams are required. Candidates should have strong troubleshooting and repair abilities, provide and maintain their own tools, and be able to work flexible hours; a Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement and additional safety certifications are preferred.
