We are looking for a Technical Market Manager – Herbicides to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Calgary, AB.

The Technical Market Manager – Herbicides (TMM - H) assumes leadership and responsibility for all technical elements (labels, technical editing, product use direction, training materials, recommendations, and technical positioning) of assigned products. Is also responsible to lead APA training & complaint resolution for large herbicide claims.

As a Technical Marketing Manager - Herbicides - Calgary, you create chemistry by...

Developing technical information for marketing: Managing the external trial budget, coordinating research and large-scale testing, and shaping global, regional, and local research targets and sustainable product-positioning, labeling, and business-plan recommendations. Building influencer advocacy, supporting media and public relations activity, and differentiating products to protect market share and achieve business goals.
Training and supporting Technical Service Representatives: Delivering technical training, direction, and product-inquiry support through varied presentation tools. Strengthening technical understanding and customer credibility while enabling sales teams to address complex inquiries and increase sales.
Creating technical content for sales and marketing: Using field and university research data to develop tools that support sales and marketing tactics and transfer technical information. Expanding access to practical guidance, increasing customer satisfaction, and strengthening brand value and sales.
Leading mid- and long-term planning and strategic projects: Providing technical and market insight, leading strategic initiatives, and contributing to global teams defining product-development and commercialization strategy. Identifying technical gaps, market trends, and prioritized opportunities while ensuring differentiated brands and global alignment.
Developing targeted influencer programs: Creating strategic plans for key influencers, recommending and partnering on research, serving on industry or academic groups, and acquiring external data that supports brand positioning. Providing cross-functional technical leadership, representing BASF in industry initiatives, and building advocacy and demand that differentiate brands.

If you have...

A Bachelor’s Degree and Advanced Science Based Degree with 8+ years of experience in Sales, Tech Services, Research or related function. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of experience in Sales, Tech Services, Research or related function will also be considered.
Demonstrated ability to recommend product positioning based on evaluating data and customer needs.
Experience in the Agriculture industry, working with and understanding growers, distribution/retail customers, universities, or consultants would be beneficial.
Strong interpersonal communication skills combined with a passion for making a positive difference in the agriculture industry.
