Position: Security Officer
Facility: BayCare ED (South Tampa)
The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including:
- Patrol and detection services
- Assisting customers
- Response and intervention responsibilities
- Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety
- Completes communication and documentation tools
- Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner
- Completes other duties as assigned
- Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques.

Certifications and Licensures
- Driver's License (State of Florida)
- IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year
- Security D - Within 90 days
- Preferred : FDLE (Law Enforcement)
- High School or Equivalent
- Preferred : Associate's in Related Field
- 1 year Customer Service
- Preferred : 2 years Security
Status: Full Time

Responsibilities
Perform patrol and detection duties, assist customers, and respond to safety and security incidents. Monitor the safety of team members, patients, and visitors; complete communications and documentation; and conduct weapons screening.
Requirements
A Florida driver's license is required, along with Security D certification within 90 days and IAHSS Security certification within one year. A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of customer service experience are listed, while an associate degree in a related field, FDLE law enforcement credentials, and two years of security experience are preferred.
