Intern, Industrial Building Mechanical Systems - Summer 2027

Your future role on our team

You will be part of our team specializing in industrial building mechanical systems. You will work alongside world-renowned experts and be exposed to a wide range of situations that will help you develop your technical skills in the following areas: ventilation, heating, air conditioning, pumping systems, plumbing and piping, fire protection, compressed air systems, dust collection and energy recovery, across various industrial applications.

As an HVAC Building Mechanical Technician Intern, your role will be to contribute to engineering activities, technology selection, and the implementation of projects in the mining, energy, and heavy industrial sectors.

• Participate in project conceptual studies.
• Actively contribute to computer-aided design (CAD) of drawings and plans (2D and 3D), as well as the preparation of specifications and details based on guidelines provided by an engineer or senior technician.
• Perform design calculations (pressure loss, air balance, heat balance, heating and cooling loads, etc.).
• Prepare material lists and bills of materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, drawings, and established methods, while complying with the company’s defined quality management system requirements.

Job Requirements At a Glance

• Two years of completed college studies in Building Mechanical Systems Engineering Technology
• Excellent knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
• Advanced French skills
• Advanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
• Asset: college diploma in building engineering technology
• Asset: Knowledge of the SmartPlant application
