Your future role on our team
As a Junior Procurement Advisor, you’ll help carry out procurement activities and work with project teams and stakeholders to meet client needs in the mining, heavy industrial and energy sectors.

- Understand and apply Procurement department instructions
- Help coordinate calls for tender
- Assist in managing bidder lists and prequalification activities
- Ensure compliance and quality of assigned files
- Help process and issue tender documents
- Help manage addenda and clarification periods
- Assist in analyzing proposals and preparing purchasing recommendations
- Help prepare purchase orders and track contracts
- Follow up with suppliers
- Track the progress of procurement packages
- Support project teams in monitoring supplier and contractual issues

- Ability to share and pass on knowledge
- Relevant university or technical education, either ongoing or completed (engineering, administration, logistics or supply chain)
- From one to five years of relevant experience in procurement
- Experience in heavy industry, mining and metals and/or energy sectors
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
- Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec

Responsibilities
Support procurement activities for project teams and clients in the mining, heavy industrial, and energy sectors. Coordinate tenders, manage procurement documentation and supplier follow-ups, analyze proposals, prepare purchasing recommendations and purchase orders, and help monitor contracts and supplier issues.
Requirements
Relevant university or technical education in engineering, administration, logistics, or supply chain is required, either ongoing or completed, along with one to five years of relevant procurement experience. Candidates should have experience in heavy industry, mining and metals, or energy, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and advanced English and French skills.
