- Provide influential leadership to ensure the success of your assigned projects.
- Plan, lead and control project delivery in accordance with the BBA mandate and to client satisfaction as well as that of the organization, your team members and other stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder expectations.
- Proactively manage and resolve technical, financial, schedule and human resource issues in a timely manner to mitigate potential variances.
- Manage project risks and implement ways to eliminate or mitigate them.
- Ensure the health and safety policy is implemented by qualified personnel who are trained for the work to be carried out for projects.
- Ensure the quality of professional services rendered, in accordance with the practices associated with the quality management system to preserve BBA’s professional image.
- Significantly participate in the firm’s business development and produce proposals.
- Integrate available resources into projects to maximize development of BBA’s skills (multi-level teams).
- Select the appropriate personnel to ensure technical risks are controlled in collaboration with department managers.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Twenty years of relevant work experience
- Experience in managing medium to large EPCM and EPC projects in the mining or heavy industry sectors
- Experience managing preliminary studies
- Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and project control, procurement and construction management teams
- In-depth knowledge of methodology for modern project management
- Efficient time management and decision-making skills
- Ability to maintain collaborative relationships with personnel, clients and suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Advanced level of French and English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec. The frequency of English use may range from occasional to daily, depending on ongoing projects
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office
- Asset: PMP certification from the Project Management Institute
- Asset: experience with construction sites
- Asset: experience managing international projects
- Asset: experience managing projects carried out in a joint venture or other form of partnership

Responsibilities
Lead and control medium-to-large EPCM and EPC projects, managing stakeholders, risks, technical and financial issues, schedules, resources, quality, and health and safety. Support business development and proposal preparation, select and coach project teams, and coordinate engineering, project controls, procurement, and construction management resources.
Requirements
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, and 20 years of relevant experience, including management of medium-to-large EPCM or EPC projects in mining or heavy industry. Candidates need experience with preliminary studies and multidisciplinary teams, strong project management, decision-making, time management, and negotiation skills, advanced French and English, and advanced MS Office knowledge; PMP certification and certain site, international, or joint-venture experience are assets.
