Your future role on our team

We’re currently seeking a Junior Water Treatment Engineer to join our team in Montréal. You’ll be responsible for working on opportunities specific to water treatment. In your role, you’ll support the Operations group and work on a wide variety of projects, such as water treatment of mine sites and metallurgical plants, of metallurgical and industrial processes, of camp site drinking and sanitary water, of ground water, of site remediation water and passive water treatment issues.

Provide technical input, in your area of expertise, for multidisciplinary work scopes

Overview Of Certifications And Job Requirements

Must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s or Ph.D is, an asset) in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering
With 0 to 5 years of relevant experience (industrial, municipal, mining, an asset)
Must be familiar in analytical and modelling techniques to develop mass and energy balances, process flow diagrams and P&IDs
Knowledgeable in some metallurgical and industrial processes
Must be experienced and demonstrate successful writing of proposals and work plans
Currently registered (or eligible) with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Able to travel to mine or project sites as needed or for short- to medium-term assignments
Bilingual (English and French), both spoken and written, and ability to draft technical documents in both languages
Asset: Experience with the following software (or equivalent): Aspen HYSYS, OLI electrolyte, Hydranautics and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

Support the Operations group on water treatment projects involving mine sites, metallurgical and industrial processes, drinking and sanitary water, groundwater, remediation, and passive treatment. Help design and select treatment systems, prepare proposals and technical documents, coordinate with internal teams and regulators, and assist experienced engineers with project execution.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering is required; a master's or Ph.D. is an asset. Candidates should have 0–5 years of relevant experience, familiarity with analytical and modeling methods and industrial or metallurgical processes, proposal-writing experience, OIQ registration or eligibility, willingness to travel, and spoken and written English and French proficiency.
