Original job description
Full time | In office, Richmond, BC | $100,000–$120,000 base + profit share | Start Q1 2027
Run a moving company that’s going from $2.6M to $7M. Do it with the owner, not for him.
BBX Moving has been moving offices, warehouses, schools, labs and families across Metro Vancouver since 2012. We do commercial and residential moves, storage, furniture installation and office decommissioning.
Our purpose is simple. Delivering Peace of Mind. It’s why we exist. The move is just how we deliver it.
The plan is $7M at 15% net profit by 2029, then a second location on Vancouver Island. The owner has been running the company and growing it at the same time. That stops working at about $3M. So he’s hiring an Integrator to run the company while he goes and finds the next big client and the next deal.
What you’ll do
You run the business. Three seats report to you on day one: operations, finance and admin, and sales and marketing. The owner sits in that last seat. Yes, he reports to you for it. That’s how serious we are about this.
We run on EOS. You’ll run the weekly L10 meetings, own the Scorecard, set quarterly Rocks with the leadership team and run quarterly planning with the owner. If you’ve run on EOS before, you’ll feel at home. If you haven’t, you’ll need to learn it fast.
You own the numbers: revenue, gross profit margin, net profit and cash. Margin on delivered services is the number that matters most in this business. Sales sets the ceiling. Operations delivers it. You own the gap.
And you build the team. Hire the right people into the right seats. Give them real authority. Develop them so they can take the next seat. Build the playbook we’ll use to open location two.
Who you are
You’ve run a business, division or branch doing around $10M a year. You’ve carried a P&L. You’ve hired, fired, promoted and coached people. You know the difference between delegating a task and delegating a result.
You’ve probably come from moving, transportation, logistics, warehousing or the trades. If you’ve run a busy hospitality operation and you understand service in your bones, we want to hear from you too.
You have hospitality in your heart. You believe a crew can show up to a family’s home or a company’s office and leave them calmer than they found them. You believe that can be done at scale, with the right people and the right system.
You want to be the operator next to a founder. Not the founder. You’ll make the calls, and you’ll be judged on results.
Our four core values
We hire on these. We review on these. We let people go on these.
- Do the right thing - make the honest call, even when it’s harder and even when no one’s watching.
- Servant heart - lead by serving: customers, crews, and each other.
- Growth oriented - get a little better every day, and help others do the same.
- Humbly confident - know the craft and bring it with humility; confident enough to own mistakes and keep improving.
If you read those and thought “that’s me,” keep reading. If you thought “sounds nice,” this isn’t the seat for you.
What you’ll get
- Base salary of $100,000 to $120,000 a year
- Profit share tied to net profit. We’ll put the formula in writing at the first interview, so you know exactly what $7M at 15% means for you.
- Extended health benefits
- A seat on the leadership team of a company with a real plan and the capital to back it
- A path to Group COO when the second location opens
The honest part
This is a hands-on seat. You’ll be in the warehouse, on a client call and in the L10 on the same day. The base is below what a $10M operator can earn at a bigger company. The upside is the profit share, the growth, and building something with your name on it. If you want a quiet seat with a big title, this isn’t it.
How to apply
Send your resume and a short note. Tell us the biggest business you’ve run, the numbers you owned, and one hard people decision you made and how it went. Three paragraphs is plenty.
