Original job description

Why BCAA?

Feel proud of what you do and help shape the future of BC at a BC Top Employer. We’re driven by purpose – delivering peace of mind to one in three BC households with insurance, roadside assistance, auto repair, Evo Car Share and Evolve E-Bike Share. With a long history of keeping roads safe and giving back in ways that build stronger communities, we offer a wide variety of meaningful, rewarding careers that move BC forward.

BCAA is hiring a Product Manager for Evolve E-Bike and E-Scooter.

As the Product Manager for Evolve E-Bike and E-Scooter Share, you’ll help shape the future of the customer experience while supporting the continued growth of BCAA’s newest shared-mobility product.

Since launching in 2021, Evolve has expanded across communities in British Columbia. The team operates like a corporate startup within BCAA’s Strategic Ventures team, combining the support of a large not-for-profit organization with the entrepreneurship, speed and innovation needed to compete in a growing industry.

You’ll balance immediate operational needs with long-term product planning, using customer insights, business data and industry trends to translate opportunities into valuable product features, platform improvements and fleet requirements.

Who you are

You’re a strategic and hands-on product professional who can move confidently between long-term roadmap planning and immediate operational priorities.

You turn customer feedback, business needs and data into clear product requirements and actionable recommendations.

You’re comfortable working across internal teams and third-party technology providers to move complex technical initiatives forward.

You bring structure to competing priorities while remaining adaptable when business needs or opportunities change.

You communicate clearly, pay close attention to detail and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

You’re collaborative, data-oriented and committed to maintaining product best practices and strategic focus.

What you’ll do

Own and maintain the Evolve product roadmap, balancing immediate priorities with longer-term business objectives.

Build a structured approach for capturing, documenting and prioritizing prospective features and functionality.

Communicate product priorities, timelines and changes across cross-functional teams.

Translate business needs, customer insights and operational opportunities into detailed product requirements.

Develop business cases that demonstrate the expected customer, operational and financial value of proposed investments.

Conduct discovery with third-party SaaS providers and internal teams to understand complexity, resource requirements and implementation timelines.

Partner with product designers to incorporate user experience and product-design best practices.

Monitor platform performance, customer experience and operational data to identify issues and improvement opportunities.

Investigate root causes and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.

Maintain awareness of third-party vendor roadmaps and influence vendor priorities based on Evolve’s product needs.

Assess potential technology providers and alternatives to help Evolve remain competitive.

Own end-to-end platform configuration initiatives, including requirements, tools and project plans.

Oversee the successful delivery of product configurations and roadmap initiatives.

What you bring

At least three years of product management or business analysis experience working on technical projects.

A certificate in business, marketing, technology or another relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience owning and maintaining a product roadmap.

Experience developing product requirements using customer and business insights, data and industry best practices.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proven attention to detail.

The ability to turn data and information into meaningful insights and recommendations.

A collaborative approach, with the ability to uphold strategic priorities and product best practices.

Experience with SQL or Power BI; familiarity with Jira is an asset.

Bonus qualifications

A degree in business, marketing, technology or a related field.

A product management certification.

The salary range for this position is $97,300 to $115,000 and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.

What we offer:

The chance to make a difference every day in the lives of British Columbians, BCAA Members and our communities.
Career and personal development to help you grow and reach your goals.
Incentives that recognize team and individual sales and performance.
Flexible benefits to support your health and lifestyle, and wellness dollars* to keep your body, mind and soul thriving.
A competitive rewards package including salary performance bonus programs, pension plan*, and more to help build your personal wealth.
Paid time off including vacation, and days for wellness, volunteering, and cultural, spiritual or religious connection.
BCAA membership, with valuable perks and Member savings on every day and special spending, from gas and coffee to clothes, sports and event tickets, and hotels.
Meaningful, rewarding work for a BC Top Employer known for putting people first and constantly building a better workplace for all our team members.

*for permanent employees

We’re always looking for amazing people like you. Apply today!

BCAA is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to providing accessible, inclusive employment. We have a long-standing partnership with the Presidents Group which strives to increase employment opportunities for people living with disabilities, and champion accessible employment in BC.
