Do you have a passion for business development and an already well-established network in Laval? Join the only bank dedicated exclusively to entrepreneurs and make an impact on the Canadian economy.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Senior Commercial Account Manager who will leverage their interpersonal skills and network to generate new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing clients. Your main objective: to contribute to the success of entrepreneurs - whose revenue ranges from startup level to $3 million - through our financing solutions and advisory services tailored to their needs. If you’re looking for an organization that invests in your talent, this is your chance to join our committed and diverse team.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

Here’s what a typical week looks like:

You’ll meet with entrepreneurs - both clients and prospects - to discuss the specifics of their businesses, identify challenges, provide advice, and, where appropriate, recommend a BDC service offering that meets their business needs;
You’ll implement your action plan in line with the Business Centre’s objectives. This will enable you to ensure the growth and retention of current clients in your portfolio while acquiring new clients and building a pipeline of business opportunities;
You’ll analyze, negotiate, and present financing proposals while exercising sound credit judgment;
You are active in the local business community, networking within various associations and chambers of commerce to develop business relationships and solicit referrals that will facilitate the acquisition of new clients.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

If you can answer YES to the following questions, you might be the person we’re looking for:

Do you hold a bachelor’s degree?
Are you passionate about entrepreneurship, with more than 3 years of relevant experience in commercial credit or analysis, business development, or entrepreneurship, as well as a solid understanding of the business world?
Do you have a proven aptitude for business development - whether virtually or in person - and a track record of achieving concrete goals?
Do your clients and business contacts remember you for the soundness of your advice and your outstanding customer service?
Do you demonstrate a team spirit and build lasting, trusting relationships with both your peers and business contacts and external partners?
Do you have excellent negotiation skills and are you results-oriented?

A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are required.

Proudly one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers and one of Canada’s Best Diversity Employers, we are committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive and accessible environment where all employees can thrive and feel empowered to bring their whole selves to work. If you require an accommodation to complete your application, please do not hesitate to contact us at accessibility@bdc.ca.

While we appreciate all applications, we advise that only the candidates selected to participate in the recruitment process will be contacted.
