Your Opportunity

BDO Canada’s Solution Operations practice helps clients transition technology solutions into stable, scalable and continuously improving services. We are seeking a replacement Senior Manager, Solution Operations - Business Analysis & Quality to provide strategic leadership across the business analysis and quality disciplines that support our managed services and technology engagements. You will establish consistent standards, strengthen delivery governance, lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure that business needs are translated into solutions that are well-defined, validated and ready for successful operation.

In this role, you will

Define and lead the vision, operating model, standards and roadmap for Business Analysis and Quality Assurance across the Solution Operations practice.
Provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of new and ongoing client engagements, ensuring the right analysis, validation and quality approaches are applied based on complexity, risk and client outcomes.
Partner with practice leaders, client executives, customer success leaders, project managers, solution architects and technical teams to shape priorities, scope, delivery plans and measurable success criteria.
Establish and govern consistent methods for discovery, requirements elicitation, process analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability, test planning, defect management, release readiness and transition to operations.
Lead quality reviews of key engagement artifacts and provide constructive challenge before major design, build, testing, release and operational-readiness decisions.
Create portfolio-level visibility into requirements health, test progress, defects, risks, dependencies, release readiness, service quality and corrective actions.
Act as a senior escalation point for complex business-analysis, quality, delivery-readiness and stakeholder-alignment issues, coordinating timely resolution across teams.
Use client feedback, service data, incidents, defects and recurring issues to identify root causes and prioritize continuous-improvement, automation and prevention opportunities.
Plan team capacity, assign resources across engagements and balance delivery demand with capability development, quality oversight and practice priorities.
Lead, coach and develop Business Analysts, Quality Assurance professionals and team leads, creating clear expectations, career development opportunities and a strong community of practice.
Contribute to proposals, estimates, statements of work, client presentations, executive governance, thought leadership and repeatable Solution Operations offerings.
Collaborate with leaders across Advisory to align Business Analysis and Quality Assurance practices with project delivery, Agile ways of working, ITIL processes and broader firm standards.

Your Experience and Education:

Progressive leadership experience across business analysis, business systems analysis, quality assurance, technology delivery or managed services in complex client or enterprise environments.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and providing portfolio-level oversight across multiple concurrent technology engagements.
Deep knowledge of the requirements lifecycle, process modelling, gap analysis, user stories, acceptance criteria, traceability and stakeholder validation.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance strategy, test planning, functional and integration testing, user acceptance testing, defect management, release readiness and quality metrics.
Experience working across the software development lifecycle using Agile, iterative, waterfall and/or hybrid delivery models.
Experience supporting post-implementation services or technology operations, including alignment with incident, problem, change and release-management practices.
Ability to establish practical governance, standards and reporting without creating unnecessary delivery overhead.
Excellent executive communication, facilitation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
Strong commercial and operational judgement, including experience with engagement planning, estimation, resource allocation, risk management and financial awareness.
Proven ability to coach leaders and practitioners, build inclusive teams and raise capability through feedback, standards and knowledge sharing.
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred:

Professional certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, PMP, ITIL, CSM, PSM, ISTQB or an equivalent credential.
Experience with enterprise platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, ServiceNow, ERP, CRM, workflow or case-management solutions.
Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint and test-management or automation tools.
Experience with BPMN, business capability mapping, service design, operating-model design, test automation, data and integration validation, or benefits realization.
Experience in professional services, consulting, application managed services or multi-client delivery environments.
Practical experience using AI-enabled productivity, analysis or testing tools responsibly to improve insight, documentation, traceability and quality.
