Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Data Analyst-AI / Data Science. This position involves supporting internal development projects focused on building enterprise data and AI solutions, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative initiatives within a regulated environment and enhance your career in AI, data science, or risk management.

Pay rate range (CAD): $65.22/hr – $78.26/hr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including project plans, technical documentation, and process workflows.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data and AI solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
  • Assist in data analysis, validation, and reporting to support business decision-making.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts within data and AI projects.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for enterprise data solutions.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 10+ years of experience in risk management within financial services or healthcare environments.
  • 5+ years of business or data analyst experience, with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Analysis, Data Science, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and Agile principles.
  • Proficiency in writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with Python and SQL for data analysis and scripting.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Clarity, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of CoPilot or similar AI-assisted tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Well-organized with strong time management abilities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs.

Nice to Have

  • Certifications in AI, Data Science, or Cloud Technologies.
  • Previous experience with AI and data science projects.
  • Knowledge of risk management, compliance, or financial industry standards.
  • Experience with large data sets and cloud platforms.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices related to data and AI solutions.
