Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Intermediate React Developer to build application components within a pro-code development environment. The successful candidate will contribute to a new React implementation supporting Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse initiatives, while using Generative AI to enhance development productivity and solution quality.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.00/hr – $55.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with technical leads to understand requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.
  • Develop scalable, high-quality application components using React.js and JavaScript.
  • Use Generative AI and other AI-enabled development tools to support coding and solution design.
  • Review, validate and optimise AI-generated and manually developed code for performance, quality, security and functionality.
  • Identify and resolve complex technical challenges while recommending practical and innovative approaches.
  • Work closely with QA teams to investigate and resolve defects.
  • Guide and mentor team members on technical implementation and development practices.
  • Contribute ideas that improve delivery methods and challenge existing approaches.
  • Support the introduction and adoption of React within the application development environment.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Six to eight years of hands-on React development experience preferred.
  • Strong expertise in React.js and front-end development.
  • Advanced JavaScript development skills.
  • Experience with Azure or cloud technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to review, validate and optimise code.
  • Experience using AI tools to support software development.
  • Strong problem-solving and innovative-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and deliver timely solutions.
  • Ability to assess technical situations, recommend solutions and guide other developers.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate or Dataverse.
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
  • Generative AI experience, including completed proofs of concept.
  • Experience with Next.js, Node.js or other JavaScript technologies.
  • Banking or financial services experience.
