Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a QA Automation Lead - ATM/POS/Payments to oversee end-to-end testing across system integration testing and user acceptance testing. The successful candidate will drive QA strategy, automation, continuous testing, and delivery governance for product testing across DCC, ATM, and POS solutions.

Pay rate range(CAD): $70.00/hr - $75.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end testing activities across system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Define and execute QA strategies, automation plans, and continuous testing practices.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test frameworks.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead QA resources, establish governance practices, and provide regular automation status reporting.
  • Coordinate QA activities across approximately 70% backend testing and 30% user interface testing.
  • Balance hands-on automation delivery with QA leadership, coordination, and delivery management.
  • Identify testing risks, manage defects, and support high-quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Systems Analysts, Developers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Mentor QA engineers and promote consistent QA standards and best practices.
  • Support the adoption of innovative and AI-enabled approaches to software quality assurance.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Seven or more years of experience in QA or Test Lead roles within financial services.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end testing and automation initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Java, Maven, TestNG, QMetry, and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong leadership experience managing offshore QA teams.
  • Experience developing and enhancing automated test frameworks.
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of backend and user interface testing practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to manage risks, defects, testing governance, and delivery outcomes.
  • Experience with POS systems and end-to-end transaction flows is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI-powered QA agents or AI-driven test automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, agentic AI, or other modern AI testing tools.
  • Experience applying autonomous AI agents within a QA strategy.
  • Understanding of appropriate use cases for AI-driven testing and the importance of human validation.
