Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Scrum Master to oversee 2 to 3 agile teams within a large-scale, value-driven project. This long-term contract opportunity involves guiding teams through scaled Agile practices, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with strategic objectives.

Pay rate range (CAD): $78.78/hr – $94.53/hr

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and facilitate Agile and Scaled Agile ceremonies
  • Act as a change agent to adapt processes for increased team productivity
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and remove impediments affecting delivery
  • Promote Transparency by ensuring work is properly acknowledged and prioritized
  • Own the championing of Agile best practices and ceremonies
  • Guide teams on implementing Agile frameworks and concepts, including Scrum and SAFe
  • Monitor Work In Progress limits and optimize team workflow and predictability
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, supporting team engagement and development
  • Coordinate and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Ensure all Agile artifacts are maintained accurately and up-to-date
  • Support the team in identifying improvement opportunities and adopting best practices
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and project success

Desired Skill-Set

  • At least 5 years of Scrum Master experience in a scaled Agile environment
  • Proven ability to lead multiple Scrum teams in software development projects
  • Extensive experience with Jira or similar Agile management tools
  • Strong knowledge of Scaled Agile Frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, etc.)
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies across multiple teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and remove impediments effectively
  • Knowledge of Agile metrics and flow analysis for continuous improvement

Nice to Have

  • Experience operating within regulated industries such as finance or banking
  • Familiarity with Kanban, Design Thinking, or other Agile systems
  • Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • Background working with cross-functional teams in software development outside of financial institutions
  • Exposure to Agile transformations and organizational change management
