We are looking for a Senior Technical Animator to help us build a AAA sci-fi FPS in Unreal Engine with a high realism bar. In this position, you'll play a key role in laying the technical foundations of our animation, from the early stages of production to fully integrated in-game characters.

You'll empower our animators by building and optimizing the tools and engine pipelines that bring our characters to life. You'll work out how the tools and the game engine can be developed to overcome the technical challenges of realistic real-time animation. Your rigging and skinning skills will be only part of the job. You'll also integrate, implement and bring animation systems to life directly in Unreal. If you love solving complex animation challenges in-engine, this job is for you.

\nIn this role you will :

Be responsible for animation and character integration in Unreal Engine, creating and maintaining rigs for bipedal and non-bipedal characters, including mechanical setups.
Help define and set up the animation pipelines, from the DCC to the engine.
Implement and maintain in-engine animation systems in collaboration with animators and programmers.
Investigate, diagnose, and resolve animation bugs across various in-game systems.
Ensure character rigs are efficient, scalable, and optimized for real-time performance within the game engine.
Create technical documents to share knowledge with animators and programmers.

What we’re looking for:

A minimum of 6 years of experience in animation in the video game industry.
Excellent technical skills for rigging and skinning.
A good understanding of the principles of animation.
Expertise in Blender, Maya and Unreal Engine.
Experience working with core animation implementation techniques and logic: Motion Matching, State Machines, Blend Spaces, Behavior and State Trees.

Ce que nous recherchons:

Au moins 6 ans d'expérience en animation dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo;
D'excellentes compétences techniques en rigging et en skinning;
Une bonne compréhension des principes de l'animation;
Une expertise dans Maya et Unreal Engine;
De l'expérience avec les techniques et la logique d'implantation de l'animation : Motion Matching, State Machines, Blend Spaces, Behavior Trees et State Trees;
La connaissance de Control Rig d'Unreal et de ses applications en temps réel pour les systèmes d'animation procédurale est un atout majeur;
La connaissance de MEL, de Python ou de Mgear est un atout.

Behaviour recherche un·e animateur·rice technique senior pour l'aider à bâtir un FPS AAA de science-fiction dans Unreal Engine, avec un très haut niveau de réalisme. Dans ce poste, tu joueras un rôle clé dans la mise en place des fondations techniques de notre animation, des premières étapes de production jusqu'aux personnages entièrement intégrés dans le jeu.

Tu outilleras nos animateur·rices en développant et en optimisant les outils et les pipelines du moteur qui donnent vie à nos personnages. Tu trouveras comment faire évoluer les outils et le moteur de jeu pour surmonter les défis techniques de l'animation réaliste en temps réel. Tes compétences en rigging et en skinning ne seront qu'une partie du travail : tu intégreras, implanteras et donneras vie aux systèmes d'animation directement dans Unreal.
