An interesting opportunity for a civil aviation MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - Component Repair has arisen in our Montreal facilities. In this role, you will be responsible to provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and lead time (SQCD).

Key Accountabilities

HSE - Ensure that manufacturing processes are in full compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental Standards and meet the expectations of the Zero Harm program.
Product Safety - Ensure that manufacturing processes are capable of achieving and sustaining the design intent, and that processes are followed so that our products and those of our suppliers conform to their specification. Rigorously raise, investigate and resolve safety related issues.
Quality - Drive a culture of zero defects within the organization. Works with all functions to reduce risk and drive product Right First Time. Ensure compliance to all relevant company, legislative and technical policies and standards including RRMS, SABRe and Export Control and Intellectual Property requirements.
Planning - Plan and manage activities including schedule, resources and costs, gaining buy-off and communicating current status to relevant stakeholders. Ensure issues and risks are resolved to meet project timescales.
Develop Capability - Develop, implement, validate, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes, digital systems and/or methods of manufacture which are capable of meeting and continue to meet requirements for safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time. Capture, analyze and use data to demonstrate and improve the current and future capability of manufacturing processes.
Provide tooling development and support to operational and engineering teams for new and existing products and repair capabilities with a goal of improving efficiency and quality.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing - Work with interfacing teams and local experts to ensure technical aspects of manufacturing processes and digital systems are understood and accounted for as required. Capture and utilize lessons learnt. Identify, document and share best practice, including by participation in relevant Communities of Practice.
Basic Requirements:
Professionally Qualified Engineer
Recognized national or international engineering accreditation and path to OIQ accreditation
General understanding of manufacturing processes and related software tools relevant to their business
Understanding of Manufacturing Engineering and repair processes relevant to their
role such as conventional and CNC machining, fitting and polishing
Capable of interpreting engineering and technical drawings, thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Experience with design, manufacturing and testing of specific-to-product tooling and fixtures
Familiar with chemical and wash consumables and procedures (Preferred)
5 years or more experience working in a shop or factory environment (Preferred)
Experience with project management in a fast paced environment

À ce poste, vous serez chargé(e) d’apporter un soutien technique aux opérations et de mener à bien des activités d’ingénierie de fabrication afin de développer, de maintenir et d’améliorer en permanence les processus et/ou méthodes de fabrication, de manière à répondre et à continuer de répondre aux exigences de l’entreprise et des clients en matière de sécurité, de qualité, de coût, de taux de livraison et de délais (SQCD).

Principales responsabilités

HSE (Santé, Sécurité et Environnement) - Veiller à ce que les processus de fabrication soient pleinement conformes aux normes de santé, de sécurité et d’environnement et répondent aux attentes du programme « Zero Harm ».
Sécurité des produits - Veiller à ce que les processus de fabrication permettent d’atteindre et de maintenir l’intention de conception, et à ce que les processus soient respectés afin que nos produits et ceux de nos fournisseurs soient conformes à leurs spécifications. Signaler, examiner et résoudre rigoureusement les problèmes liés à la sécurité.
Qualité – Promouvoir une culture du « zéro défaut » au sein de l’organisation. Collaborer avec tous les services pour réduire les risques et favoriser la « qualité dès la première fois ». Veiller au respect de l’ensemble des politiques et normes pertinentes de l’entreprise, législatives et techniques, y compris les exigences RRMS, SABRe, de contrôle des exportations et de propriété intellectuelle.
Planification – Planifier et gérer les activités, notamment le calendrier, les ressources et les coûts, en obtenant l’aval des parties prenantes et en communiquant l’état d’avancement aux personnes concernées.
Développement des capacités – Développer, mettre en œuvre, valider, maintenir et améliorer en permanence les processus de fabrication, les systèmes numériques et/ou les méthodes de fabrication capables de répondre et de continuer à répondre aux exigences en matière de sécurité, de qualité, de coût, de taux de livraison et de délais d’exécution. Collecter, analyser et exploiter les données afin de démontrer et d’améliorer les capacités actuelles et futures des processus de fabrication.
Assurer le développement d’outillages et apporter un soutien aux équipes opérationnelles et d’ingénierie pour les produits nouveaux et existants ainsi que pour les capacités de réparation, dans le but d’améliorer l’efficacité et la qualité.
Collaboration et partage des connaissances – Travailler avec les équipes en interface et les experts locaux pour s’assurer que les aspects techniques des processus de fabrication et des systèmes numériques sont compris et pris en compte comme il se doit. Recueillir et exploiter les enseignements tirés. Identifier, documenter et partager les meilleures pratiques, notamment en participant aux communautés de pratique pertinentes.

Exigences de base :

Ingénieur titulaire d’un diplôme professionnel
Accréditation d’ingénieur reconnue au niveau national ou international et parcours menant à l’accréditation de l’OIQ
Compréhension générale des processus de fabrication et des outils logiciels associés pertinents pour son domaine d’activité
Compréhension de l’ingénierie de fabrication et des processus de réparation pertinents pour son poste, tels que l’usinage conventionnel et CNC, l’ajustage et le polissage
Capacité à interpréter des dessins techniques et d’ingénierie, compréhension approfondie du dimensionnement et des tolérances géométriques (GD&T)
Expérience en conception, fabrication
