Summary

The Manager, Communications– Entertainment Content supports the development and execution of high-impact publicity strategies across Bell Media’s Crave and CTV programming, working closely with the Senior Manager to drive successful press campaigns supporting entertainment content, talent and industry relationships, as well as company-wide objectives. The role provides strategic and operational leadership across multiple priorities, helping to streamline processes, manage workloads, motivate the team and translate campaign performance into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead publicity support across Bell Media’s entertainment portfolio, including Crave and CTV, partnering closely with the Senior Manager on high-priority programming campaigns
Support the development and execution of integrated publicity strategies and campaign plans for original and acquired series, specials, events and talent-led initiatives
Develop strategic PR recommendations based on programming objectives, audience priorities, talent opportunities, media landscapes and competitive activity
Manage day-to-day talent relations, including coordinating media opportunities, supporting talent briefing and preparation, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships with talent and representatives
Build and maintain productive relationships with industry partners, producers, studios, distributors, agencies, publicists and internal stakeholders to support successful campaigns
Work collaboratively with Marketing, Content, Production, Programming, Social, Digital and other internal teams to ensure publicity strategies are aligned and effectively executed
Manage campaign timelines, deliverables and priorities, ensuring teams are focused on the highest-impact opportunities and deadlines

Help streamline publicity processes and workflows, identifying efficiencies, improving tools and establishing best practices that enable the team to work more effectively
Support the Senior Manager in managing team workloads and priorities, balancing competing demands across multiple programming campaigns and ensuring appropriate resources are allocated
Provide guidance, mentorship and day-to-day support to junior team members, helping to motivate the team, foster collaboration and encourage professional development
Track and assess campaign performance, generating media, publicity and competitive reports that identify key results, insights, trends and opportunities
Translate campaign results and insights into clear, concise executive updates and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting impact, learnings, challenges and recommendations
Identify proactive media, talent and partnership opportunities that can amplify programming and strengthen Bell Media’s entertainment brands
Support issues management and sensitive communications as required, providing strategic counsel and helping ensure consistent messaging across stakeholders
Represent the Publicity team in cross-functional meetings and working groups, ensuring publicity considerations are incorporated into programming and campaign planning from the outset
Contribute to the development of team strategy, planning tools, templates and processes that improve consistency, efficiency and overall campaign execution
Other duties as assigned

Critical Qualifications

University degree and/or diploma in Communications
3-5 years’ experience in media or entertainment publicity
Experience leading and motivating a team
Must have a proven track record for innovative communications strategies
Must be highly organized and able to juggle numerous projects simultaneously
Ability to manage high volumes of work in a fast paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy
Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
Ability to take initiative, prioritize, and multi-task

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
