Summary

We are seeking an experienced, strategic leader to manage our dealer network’s business development opportunities and contractual compliance for the dealer networks and National Retail. In this role, you will drive strategic growth initiatives, streamline financial reviews, manage dealer agreements, and foster an innovative culture that embraces automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Strategic Projects

Financial & Deal Management: Lead the financial & business review process for dealer location sales, strategic buyouts, and branded/dealer amalgamations.
Retail Footprint Optimization: Provide critical assistance and strategic oversight in the expansion, consolidation, and optimization of Virgin Plus and Bell retail locations.
Ad Hoc Projects: Strategize and execute various business development projects to capture emerging market opportunities and optimize dealer channel operations.

2. Dealer & National Retail Contractual Obligations & Legal Operations

Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end drafting, negotiation, execution, analysis, renewal, and compliance of agreements supporting the dealer channel and National Retail.
Financial and Operational Performance: Structure and manage contracts to maximize financial and operational performance while minimizing legal, commercial, and compliance risk.
Contract Amendments and Records: Document amendments and maintain accurate, accessible contract records and databases to support governance, reporting, and audit requirements.
Policies, Practices, and Procedures: Lead and influence the development and continuous improvement of contract management policies, practices, controls, and procedures.
Compliance and Disclosure Documents: In charge of the annual update of the Disclosure Document and lead the evolution, execution, and maintenance of Authorized Retailer Agreements and other dealer-related contracts.
Legal Guidance and Liaison: Partner closely with Bell’s Law Department to provide contract-related guidance and support concerning agreements, policies, compliance obligations, and risk management.
Complex Issue Resolution: Resolve complex contractual and business issues, manage escalations, and support legal, regulatory, and audit requirements.
Risk and Security Support: Coordinate with Loss Prevention and Corporate Security on initiatives that mitigate dealer and retail network risks.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Channel Communications

Critical Channel Updates: Partner with internal teams to ensure critical operational, contractual, pricing, and program updates are communicated to dealer and National Retail channels quickly, accurately, and consistently.

Critical Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
Experience: At least five years of experience in dealer management, contract management, or strategic franchise operations within the telecommunications or retail sector.
Business and Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial analysis, acquisition negotiations, and the economic drivers associated with the retail network footprint.
Legal and Compliance Mindset: Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating complex dealer agreements, including Authorized Retailer Agreements, and collaborating with corporate legal teams.
Team Leadership: Experience managing, coaching, and developing direct reports in a hybrid or mobile work environment.
Innovation Mindset: Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence and automation tools, or a strong interest in leveraging them to improve team efficiency and operational quality.

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.

Total earning range: $113,000 - $138,000. The advertised salary range may vary slightly as it is based on the company’s current salary structure, which may be revised by the company, from time to time, at its sole discretion. The agreed upon salary may also vary from the advertised salary ranges depending on several factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience and internal equity

The salary range above includes an Annual Incentive Plan objective which represent 4% of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The Annual Achievement Incentive Plan (“AIP”) payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. The AIP payment is conditional upon meeting all of the AIP’s eligibility requirements. The AIP is subject to modification by the Company from time to time, at its sole discretion to better reflect evolving business structure, goals and strategies.

For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Bell office for a minimum of 3 days a week. Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Bell offers flexibility in work hours based on the business needs.
