Summary

The Customer Experience team is looking for a Software developer who is passionate about building modern applications, learning cloud technologies, and turning innovative ideas into practical solutions.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional partners across Operations, Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Digital, and Marketing to build models, surface insights, and contribute to transformation initiatives across the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, secure, well-documented, and reusable code for web applications, APIs, and supporting services, primarily using Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
  • Build and maintain intuitive web interfaces and backend APIs that enable users to interact with data, analytics, automation, and AI-powered solutions.
  • Integrate APIs, data services, machine-learning models, and third-party libraries into applications in close collaboration with Data Scientists and other technical partners.
  • Contribute across the full application lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Help build and maintain automated deployment pipelines and support containerized applications running in OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across front-end, backend, API, and deployment environments, using an analytical and detail-oriented approach to identify root causes.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve existing solutions, bringing a proactive and solution-focused mindset to technical and business challenges.
  • Maintain a strong customer and user focus, considering usability, reliability, and business needs when designing and improving applications.
  • Continuously learn and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and development practices, applying new skills to improve solutions and contribute to the team's technical capabilities.
  • Actively contribute to a collaborative team environment, sharing knowledge, seeking feedback, and taking ownership of assigned deliverables and shared outcomes.

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Less that 3 years of relevant work experience (some exceptions may be made for highly skilled candidates).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Python preferred, and familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript for web application development.
  • Understanding of fundamental software engineering concepts, including object-oriented programming, data structures, application architecture, and writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Understanding of web development fundamentals, including HTTP, REST APIs, JSON, client-server architecture, and integration between front-end and backend services.
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative version-control workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • Basic understanding of software testing and CI/CD practices, including unit testing, automated builds, and application deployment.
  • Familiarity with cloud and container concepts. Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is considered an asset.
