Job Type: Full-time & In-Person
About Bench Mark (Bench-Mark.ca)
Bench Mark is the trusted source for RTK, GNSS, and land survey equipment. For over 20 years, we’ve helped engineers, surveyors, and construction professionals get the right gear - with straightforward advice, hands-on guidance, and support that doesn’t quit. (bench-mark.ca)
We’re looking for a junior SDR who’s hungry to learn, comfortable on the phone, and excited to help customers find solutions that make their work easier.
What you’ll do
As an SDR, you’ll be the first point of contact for new opportunities. Your job is to connect with inbound prospects, qualify fit, and book meetings for our Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls and follow-ups to new inquiries and leads in construction, engineering, and land surveying.
- Ask smart questions to understand the customer’s application, timeline, budget range, and decision process.
- Clearly explain the value of our equipment and support - tailoring your pitch to the customer’s needs.
- Qualify opportunities and book meetings/demos for the Sales Manager (with clean notes and context).
- Build relationships with prospects and keep conversations moving forward with consistent follow-up.
- Keep your pipeline organized by logging activities and updating lead statuses in our CRM.
- Work closely with the sales team to improve messaging, targeting, and outreach.
- Stay current on what’s happening in surveying, GNSS/RTK, and the industries we serve.
What we’re looking for
Must-haves
- Strong communication skills (you’re clear, confident, and personable on the phone).
- Comfort with outbound calling, follow-up, and handling objections respectfully.
- Organized and detail-oriented (you keep accurate notes and don’t drop the ball).
- Coachable, curious, and ready to learn technical products and real-world use cases.
- Self-motivated and goal-driven - you like targets and you like hitting them.
- English – Native/Bilingual Professional Proficiency
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in SDR/BDR work, cold calling, inside sales, or customer-facing roles.
- Exposure to construction, surveying, engineering, geomatics, or field technology.
- Experience using a CRM (any platform - if you can learn one, you can learn ours).
- Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Engineering, STEM - or equivalent experience.
Why you’ll like working here
- Competitive base salary + commission
- Training and mentorship (product knowledge, call coaching, and sales fundamentals)
- Real growth path into sales, account management, or technical sales support
- A supportive team that’s focused on helping customers succeed in the field
How to apply
Apply with your resume (a cover letter is welcome). If you include a short note, tell us:
