Electronics Prototyping and Assembly Contractor
Beseem Technologies Inc. is a Calgary-based medical simulation company developing FASTneo™, a neonatal point-of-care ultrasound training simulator. FASTneo™ combines custom electronics, sensor-based tracking, physical simulation equipment, 3D-printed components and specialized software to support realistic medical training.
We are seeking a skilled and dependable independent contractor to provide electronics assembly, testing, sensor integration and prototyping services for the physical devices used in our simulation systems.
About the Contract
This is a hands-on, production-focused contract combining electronics assembly, sensor integration and mechanical CAD design.
The contractor will assemble, wire, configure and test established electronic devices according to supplied specifications. The contractor may also support product improvements by integrating sensors into additional locations and designing or modifying functional components for 3D printing.
Physical 3D printing will be managed separately. The contractor may be asked to prepare print-ready designs, evaluate completed parts and make design improvements where required.
We are looking for someone with practical electronics and CAD experience who can produce careful, consistent work at an efficient pace. The contractor should be comfortable troubleshooting independently, documenting completed work and delivering assignments within agreed timelines.

Work Arrangement
The services will primarily be performed from the contractor’s own suitable and secure workspace in Calgary.
The contractor will generally determine how and when the services are performed, subject to agreed specifications, milestones and delivery dates.
The contractor is expected to provide the ordinary tools and equipment normally used in their work. Beseem Technologies will provide proprietary components, product-specific materials, specifications and firmware. Specialized equipment may be loaned where agreed and will remain the property of Beseem Technologies.
The contractor is not required to own or accommodate a 3D printer. Physical printing will be managed separately by Beseem Technologies or an external printing resource.
Occasional in-person meetings and local exchanges of equipment, materials and completed devices will be required.
The selected contractor will be required to sign an independent contractor services agreement and a confidentiality and intellectual property agreement before receiving proprietary product information.
