Original job description

Role : Talent & Development Coordinator

Reports to: Country Manager, People & Culture

Location: Montreal, QC

We believe the employee experience is the heart of our success, fueling our drive to continuously evolve and create a truly inspiring and vibrant organization. We're looking for talented, passionate individuals who take pride in what they do and want to make a real impact. For us, this isn't just HR – it's a powerful, guiding force that shapes our entire business strategy.

What You’ll Do.

We’re all about teamwork, inclusivity, and growth! As our Talent & Development Coordinator, you’ll be the engine behind our day-to-day recruitment and people development activities - helping us attract, onboard, and grow great talent, while keeping our learning programs and employer brand running like clockwork.

Some of your responsibilities are (but not limited to) :

Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Coordination:

Coordinate day-to-day recruitment administration - job postings, recruitment tickets, new hire contracts and entries - keeping things moving smoothly behind the scenes.
Support the full recruitment cycle: drafting job descriptions and interview guides, screening and sourcing candidates, coordinating interviews, and extending verbal offers and background checks.
Help evolve how we recruit, including supporting our smart recruiter transition project.

Onboarding & Employee Experience:

Own preboarding and onboarding logistics - onboarding boxes, schedules, welcome letters, access passes and DC training coordination - so every new hire feels set up from day one.
Support internal communications around new hires, promotions and terminations, plus our newsletter and employee events.

Learning & Development Support:

Help deliver training through our FUSE platform, our cross-training program, lunch & learns and AI training week.
Support NBT/IBT recruitment and community-building initiatives that keep learning front and center.

Employer Branding:

Represent us at job fairs and internship recruitment events, contribute to LinkedIn recruitment content, and help keep our career page and Own Your Future program fresh and visible.

Who You Are

We’re looking for someone with a positive, energetic attitude who thrives juggling multiple tasks at once. We hire for mindset and train for skills, but it would be great if you bring:

2 years of experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or a similar people-facing role.
Great organizational skills and an eye for detail, especially when things get busy.
You must be Fluent in both French and English, as you’ll collaborate with colleagues across North America and Denmark.
Comfortable using recruitment and learning platforms (ATS, LMS / e-learning tools).
A genuine interest in the candidate and employee experience, from the first job posting to their next big training moment.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE WORKING HERE.

At BESTSELLER, we care about your career and your well-being - and we back that up. Here’s what’s in it for you:

Time & Flexibility:

Half day Friday! – Worklife balanced. Year round you can end your day early if you’re up to date on task load!
Flexible hybrid schedule - find your balance. You will have the flexibility to work remotely one day per week (Wednesday or Friday), based on the needs of the role and the team.
Four weeks of paid time away - because recharging matters. You will receive three weeks of vacation, along with 40 paid energizing hours, for a total of 160 paid hours away from work each year.
Two paid emergency days - for the unexpected. You will also receive 16 paid emergency hours to use when an unforeseen personal situation requires your attention.

Health & Financial Security:

Group insurance - we’ve got you covered. BESTSELLER pays 75% of the cost of your group insurance plan, helping you access the coverage you need while keeping your employee contribution lower.
RRSP program - invest in your future. After three months of service, you will become eligible to participate in our RRSP program and begin building your retirement savings.
Virtual healthcare and well-being support - available anytime. Enjoy complimentary access to virtual healthcare and wellness applications, allowing you to connect with qualified health professionals remotely, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Style & Perks:

50% employee discount - work in style. Enjoy 50% off our JACK&JONES store locations and our Online websites (JACK&JONES, VERO MODA, JJXX) and keep your wardrobe looking as good as your work.
Exclusive sample sales - more fashion for less. Take advantage of regular employee sample sales featuring products from across our brand portfolio.

Culture & Workspace:

Open and collaborative workspace - no cubicles here. You will have your own dedicated workspace while sitting alongside your colleagues in an environment designed to encourage communication and teamwork.
A positive employee experience - grow, contribute and enjoy the journey. We want you to feel challenged, supported and empowered to make an impact. You will have opportunities to learn and develop - and we believe work should be enjoyable along the way.

We can’t wait to meet you!

We review applications on an ongoing basis and reserve the right to take down the advertisement, when our candidate is found. We are committed to diversity and provide equal opportunities for everyone, regardless of sex, race, ethnicity, religion or belief, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity.

BESTSELLER is an international fashion company with brands such as JACK and JONES, VERO MODA, ONLY and JACK & JONES. BESTSELLER operates both its own chains / stores as well as we have a large number of retailers on the market. As an employee of BESTSELLER, you become part of our family. We offer a developing and exciting workplace with a high pace where we all work together towards common goals. Our philosophy and our values are important to us, we work hard and strive to be the best but always in a humble way. BESTSELLER Canada began in 2004 and currently works with eight of our brands. JACK & JONES is our sole retail presence in Canada, while VERO MODA, ONLY, ONLY & SONS, SELECTED FEMME/HOMME, PRODUKT, NOISY MAY and JACQUELINE DE YOUNG are part of our wholesale distribution. Our office in Montreal is the centre of BESTSELLER’s North American operations and the workplace of almost 100 of our colleagues. Overall, BESTSELLER Canada has approximately 600 colleagues, including our distribution centre and almost 50 JACK & JONES stores.
