We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to support a large-scale Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program, with a primary focus on an IBM Maximo implementation and other business-critical, asset-based technology solutions.
The successful candidate will provide solution architecture leadership across design, integration, technology development, standards, security, and implementation. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leadership, enterprise architecture, and project delivery teams to develop secure, scalable, and robust end-to-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert architectural advice based on analysis of technical environments, enterprise requirements, and business needs.
- Lead the development of solution architectures supporting key business objectives and EAM initiatives.
- Develop technical plans and work with enterprise application teams to ensure appropriate technical resources and capabilities are available.
- Provide technical leadership across solution development, application integration, and implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, tools, and architectural approaches.
- Ensure technical strategies, policies, standards, security requirements, and best practices are appropriately applied.
Design and maintain:
- Solution architecture diagrams
- IT solution workflows
- Technical specifications
- Network and integration architecture diagrams
- Technology roadmaps
- Develop working functional prototypes and visual materials to communicate proposed solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
- Assess evolving technology and vendor solutions and update platform architecture requirements accordingly.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technology objectives, constraints, and requirements.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with enterprise and business architecture standards.
- Facilitate technical architecture reviews, decision-making sessions, and problem-solving meetings.
- Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, enterprise architecture, and delivery teams.
- Provide specialized architectural guidance to enterprise application and project delivery teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve end-to-end technology solutions and operational effectiveness.
- Assess short- and medium-term technology solutions while considering longer-term architectural and technology transitions.
- Monitor emerging technologies, industry trends, EAM practices, and vendor solutions.
- Assess and document technology risks, opportunities, impacts, and dependencies.
- Develop recommendations, reports, and technology roadmaps to support strategic technology decisions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in solution architecture, technical architecture, technical design, engineering, software architecture, database design, and/or enterprise technology solutions.
- 5+ years of experience working with IBM Maximo Asset Management.
Strong understanding of IBM Maximo capabilities, including:
- Asset lifecycle management

- Proven experience designing integration approaches and solutions that enable secure and robust interoperability between systems.
- Experience delivering technology solutions within large, complex implementation programs.

Mandatory Certification
IBM Certified Maximo Advanced Deployment Professional – Asset Management
This certification is mandatory.
Proof of certification must be provided as part of the candidate submission.
Candidates who do not hold this certification will not be considered.
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience with public sector Enterprise Asset Management programs, methodologies, or frameworks.
- Experience working within large-scale government or public-sector technology environments.
- Experience with Agile project/program delivery.
- Experience supporting organizational change and technology transformation initiatives.
IBM Certified Maximo Solution Architect

Contract Details
Position: Senior Solution Architect
Focus: IBM Maximo / Enterprise Asset Management
Start Date: December 4, 2026
End Date: December 1, 2028
Hours: 35 hours per week / 7 hours per day
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Onsite Requirement: Minimum 1 day per week onsite
Additional Onsite: May be required for critical meetings, workshops, or project requirements
The role may involve travel between various locations within the organization.
The successful consultant must be available for the duration of the assignment and able to work remotely or onsite as required.
Additional Information
- The first and final day of the assignment will be completed onsite for onboarding/offboarding activities.
- Onsite attendance may be required beyond the regular weekly requirement based on business and project needs.
- Region-owned equipment and access badges must be collected and returned in person.
- The assignment may be extended based on project timelines, budget, approvals, and business requirements.
- Potential for two additional 12-month extensions.
- The assignment may be adjusted or terminated based on project requirements, with applicable notice provided.
- The successful candidate will be engaged as an independent contractor.
