Employment type: Full-time

About the opportunity

Our client is an established Canadian supplier of industrial products hiring to support continued growth. This bilingual sales opportunity serves customers in Ontario and Québec, combining new business development with the growth of existing customer relationships.

You will take ownership of an assigned territory and customer relationships, managing the sales process from the initial inquiry and quotation through order coordination and follow-up. The role is approximately 50% new business development and 50% existing-account management and growth, with a blend of self-generated and company-provided leads.

Perks and benefits

Monthly commission: Uncapped commissions paid monthly, with annual profit sharing based on company and individual performance.
Career growth: Potential paths into product management, outside sales or sales management as you build your experience and demonstrate results.
An established and growing business: Build your career with a stable Canadian organization offering a busy sales environment and opportunities to contribute to continued growth.
A collaborative culture: Join a team that values open communication, practical problem-solving, customer relationships and employee development.
Continued learning: A company that invests in employee training and modern equipment to support its people and customers.
Health and wellness benefits: Health and dental coverage, extended healthcare, vision care, life insurance, a wellness program and an employee assistance program.
Additional perks: On-site parking and company events.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main contact for an assigned customer base, understand purchasing needs and build lasting relationships through responsive service and regular follow-up.
Identify and pursue new business through cold calling, outbound emails, prospecting and follow-up on company-provided leads and inbound inquiries.
Grow existing accounts by identifying additional product needs and purchasing opportunities; reconnect with dormant or underperforming customers through targeted outreach and established marketing programs.
Prepare timely, accurate quotations in a high-volume sales environment, with approximately 40–60 quotations per day discussed for this role.
Clarify product specifications, dimensions, quantities and delivery requirements so quotations and orders accurately reflect customer needs.
Confirm inventory availability and pricing, follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into sales while working toward sales and margin targets.
Create accurate sales orders, communicate delivery timelines and coordinate internally to keep customers informed about order progress and changes.
Resolve customer questions and order concerns, working with the appropriate internal teams to find practical solutions.
Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities, quotations and follow-up records in the company’s systems.
Manage your territory with ownership and initiative, balancing prospecting, account development and daily customer service priorities.
Stay informed about product offerings, pricing changes and market conditions; continue developing your industrial sales and product knowledge.

Qualifications and Experience

Fluent English and French, with strong written and verbal business communication skills to serve customers in both languages.
At least two years of customer service or sales experience, with an industrial sales background required.
Relevant experience in industrial products, building materials, wood, concrete, machine manufacturing or related sectors.
Experience prospecting, cold calling, building new customer relationships and developing existing accounts.
A results-focused approach and comfort working toward sales targets and activity measures in a busy, transactional environment.
Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through when handling quotations, product requirements and sales orders.
A record of job stability, demonstrated results and professional growth.
CRM proficiency and post-secondary education are assets. A willingness to learn, take initiative and adapt to changing market conditions is essential.
