Job Description

The HR Coordinator provides essential support to the People & Culture team by managing administrative tasks, maintaining accurate employee records, assisting with onboarding, and supporting various HR programs. This role helps ensure HR operations run smoothly and consistently, contributing to a positive and professional employee experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality
Prepare and process HR documents such as employment letters, changes, and terminations
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including scheduling, documentation, and systems access
Support the delivery of new hire orientations and ensure a smooth transition into the organization
Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, time off, and general HR processes
Assist with internal HR communications, surveys, and employee engagement initiatives
Support performance review and goal-setting processes with documentation and scheduling
Help coordinate internal moves, leaves of absence, and policy-related updates
Assist with data reporting, HR metrics, and project documentation as needed
Contribute to special HR projects and process improvements across the employee lifecycle
Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team as needed

Required Qualifications

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in an HR support or coordination role
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of discretion
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using HRIS platforms such as Dayforce
Knowledge of employment standards and HR practices
Enrollment in or completion of an HR designation (e.g., CPHR, SHRM-CP)

This is an office-based position with the occasional work site visits when required.
