We are looking for an Associate, Underwriter to join our team in our Waterloo office!

As an Associate, Underwriter, you will be responsible to support the Senior Underwriter in their day-to-day tasks.

Your day as an Associate, Underwriter

Process monthly lineage, premiums and claims’ bordereaux and reconciliation.
Invoice bond accounts by month/year end.
Issue and send Insurance Policies and Endorsements.
Assisting with renewals; updated information, and account preparation
Work with brokers and senior underwriter for daily maintenance of policy files regarding inquiries, policy changes, requests for applications, follow-ups, etc.
Set up, re-create and edit policy wordings.
Assist with receivables A/R’s.
Prepare data for various reports as required for the contracts renewal and the audits.
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, as needed.
Meeting service standard and turnaround time with respect to issuance of documents.

Our ideal candidate

College or university diploma is required.
RIBO licensed or willing to obtain their RIBO license within three months of starting the position.
1-2 years of administrative experience or customer service experience.
Experience in an insurance environment is an asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and written communication.
Enthusiastic, reliable and has excellent sense of organization, professionalism and discretion.
Able to work independently as well as collaborate with a team.
Basic knowledge of the insurance industry, an asset
Team player adaptable to a changing environment.

This posting is for a newly created position.

The expected salary for this role ranges from 50,000$ to 65,000$. Annual salary will be determined by factors including prior experience, location, business segment, and relevance of the candidate’s skills to the role.
