JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President, Marketing (North America) is accountable for defining and executing the organization’s enterprise-wide marketing strategy in alignment with corporate growth objectives, brand positioning, and revenue priorities. This role MUST be a hands-on leader that has experience in building BRAND AWARENESS and pipeline growth across new vertical and geographic markets. This individual is an energetic, high bias to action leader, that will be responsible for developing strategy and implementing the supporting actions across all marketing disciplines, including brand, digital, content, social media, demand generation, communications, and stakeholder engagement.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

People Leadership

Communicate vision of the organization at all levels, strategic objectives, and goal setting.
Lead group of marketing subject matter experts providing training, mentoring, and coaching.
Establish and communicate performance standards.
Identify required talent to successfully execute business strategy and partner with talent team to source, select, on-board, and train team members.
Review and document individual performance and track team accomplishments.
Deliver updates to key business initiatives, ensure leaders aligned and focused, and provide regular individual performance feedback.
Recommend compensation adjustments based on performance, internal equity, and geographic market considerations.
Plan for talent succession within the organization and support individual professional and career development.
Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Marketing Strategy

Define and own the enterprise marketing strategy, and own the execution of actions to optimize BGIS BRAND Awareness in key vertical and geographic markets
Serve as strategic advisor to senior leadership on brand, market trends, clients’ insights, and competitive dynamics.
Establish clear marketing objectives, success metrics, and multi-year roadmaps that support business outcomes.

Integrated Marketing & Demand Strategy

Set the strategic direction for integrated marketing programs, including digital, content, campaigns, and communications.
Oversee demand generation and pipeline-support strategies in partnership with business development and sales leadership.
Partner with business development to create and execute data driven lead generation strategies that deliver marketing qualified leads into the top of the sales funnel.
Ensure marketing initiatives are insight-driven, and scalable across regions and business lines.
Balance short-term performance goals with long-term brand and market development.

Performance, Analytics, and Optimization

Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), dashboards, and governance frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
Translate performance data into executive-level insights and recommendations.
Continuously optimize marketing investment based on business impact, not channel performance alone.

Stakeholder and Executive Partnership

Partner closely with executive leadership, operations, HR, and business development to ensure marketing alignment with enterprise priorities.
Manage relationships with external agencies, consultants, and strategic partners.

Governance, Budget and Risk Management

Own the marketing budget, resource allocation, and investment prioritization.
Establish governance frameworks for campaigns, brand usage, and external communications.
Ensure compliance with corporate, legal, and reputational standards.
Proactively identify and mitigate brand and communication risks.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
MBA or equivalent considered an asset.
Minimum 10 years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership roles.
Deep understanding of brand strategy, integrated marketing, and performance measurement.
Proven experience leading enterprise level marketing strategy across North America (US and Canada experience is required)
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect marketing outcomes to revenue, growth, and reputation.
Executive level communication, influencing, and presentation skills.
Demonstrated success in leading small teams
Project management expertise.
Demonstrated experience implementing and/or managing a lead generation workflow and technology stack.
Expert knowledge in leveraging Digital Tools and AI in support of marketing campaigns and graphics/presentation development.

Ability and willingness to travel, and comfortable working in BGIS Markham Innovation Centre and average 4 days per week.
Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.
