Original job description

You have run proposals at an architecture, engineering, or construction firm. You know the RFP, RFQ, and SOQ grind: go/no-go calls, chasing CVs and project sheets, and rebuilding boilerplate in InDesign or Deltek the night before a deadline. Now we want you to help dozens of AEC firms win more work.

About Bidaya

At Bidaya, we help architecture, engineering, and construction firms win more work with AI. We turn a firm's past proposals, documents, and expertise into a faster, smarter way to find the right opportunities and respond to them well.

Bidaya surfaces the opportunities that fit each firm's strengths, then helps teams draft strong, compliant proposals in a fraction of the usual time. We take on the research and the heavy lifting of writing, so their teams can focus on the work they do best.

We are a profitable, venture-backed team of three based in Calgary, with customers across Canada and internationally.

The Role

We are looking for a proposal manager to be our first client success hire: someone who has lived the proposal grind inside an AEC firm and wants to help others win. You will own how new firms get started with Bidaya and how they keep getting value from it, and you will be the person our customers know by name.

Because you know this industry from the inside, your feedback on the product and on proposal quality will carry real weight with the founders.

What You'll Own

Onboarding and activation, from kickoff to a firm's first submitted proposal. You run the first call on a live RFP and stay with the team until they can do it without you.
Adoption across the base. Proposal teams build Bidaya into their daily workflow because you removed what was in the way, from messy templates to missing style guides.
Support and the voice of the customer. You are the person customers reach, and you turn what you hear into clear priorities for the founders.

Who We're Looking For

You have led marketing, business development, or proposals inside an AEC or professional services firm, and you have submitted more RFP responses than you can count.
You have used ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot in real proposal work and have opinions about what helps and what doesn't.
You write clearly and quickly, whether you are coaching a customer or documenting a process.
You enjoy building relationships with customers and are comfortable running a call with a firm's principal.
You thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with room to shape the role.
Bonus if you speak French (we have numerous clients in Quebec)
