Original job description

RIBO-Licensed Insurance Broker

Billyard Insurance Group – Acton | Ontario

Commission-Based Opportunity | Book Ownership Potential

Your ambition deserves a future you can own.

Every client you earn, every relationship you strengthen, and every renewal you retain represents an investment of your time and expertise. At Billyard Insurance Group – Acton, that effort can help you build income, long-term value, and a path toward ownership in the book of business you develop.

We’re growing and looking for motivated insurance brokers who want to take an entrepreneurial approach to their careers - with the tools, market access, and team support to move forward.

If owning a stake in what you build matters to you, let’s talk.

Build something that grows with you

Ownership is an important part of our opportunity. We want to connect with brokers who see each policy as the beginning of a lasting relationship and each satisfied client as the foundation for future growth.

At BIG Acton, you can work toward:

Book ownership and a personal stake in the business you develop.
Renewal income through consistent client service and retention.
A loyal client base built on trust and sound advice.
Referral relationships that create opportunities over time.
Long-term earning potential across personal and commercial insurance.
A professional reputation you can take pride in.

Bring your drive. Find your support.

An entrepreneurial mindset goes further when you have people to turn to. At BIG Acton, we offer:

Training and onboarding support to help you get started with direction.
Active, approachable Managing Partners who support your development.
Access to multiple insurance markets to address a range of client needs.
Modern quoting and brokerage tools to support your daily work.
Guidance with underwriting, sales, and business development.
Personal lines and commercial insurance opportunities to expand your expertise.
A collaborative branch culture where knowledge sharing, professionalism, and accountability matter.

Your role

You’ll build and maintain client relationships while developing your book of business. Your responsibilities will include:

Generating new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and follow-up.
Understanding client needs and recommending suitable coverage.
Preparing quotes and guiding clients through applications and binding.
Providing responsive service for renewals, policy changes, and ongoing inquiries.
Identifying additional insurance needs and opportunities to strengthen client protection.
Maintaining accurate documentation and following regulatory, insurer, and brokerage requirements.
Participating in training and coaching to strengthen your skills.

Who will thrive here

We’re looking for brokers who are motivated by what they can build over time and willing to take the daily steps to get there.

You are:

RIBO licensed in Ontario.
Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable with commission-based earnings.
Committed to prospecting, following up, and building relationships.
Professional, organized, and focused on doing right by your clients.
Open to coaching, continuous learning, and accountability.
Interested in developing a lasting book of business with ownership potential.

Starting your career? Bring your energy and willingness to learn. Develop your skills with support and a long-term goal in mind.

Ready for your next chapter? Bring your experience and ambition. Explore an environment where your book-building mindset is valued.

OTL-licensed advisors committed to completing the RIBO pathway are also welcome to connect. A valid RIBO licence is required before undertaking P&C broker duties.

Compensation

This is a commission-based opportunity, with earning potential through new business and renewals. Success requires consistent sales activity, client retention, and strong service.

Let’s talk about what you want to build

Apply with your résumé and a brief introduction outlining your licensing status, experience, and career goals.

Build relationships that last. Build a book with value. Build toward ownership at BIG Acton.
