Position Summary

The Recruitment Coordinator Intern will support the day-to-day coordination and administration of BinSentry's recruitment activities across Canada and the United States. Working closely with the Manager, Recruitment and HR Enablement, the successful candidate will help maintain organized, timely, and positive hiring processes for candidates and internal stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student / new grad interested in talent acquisition to gain practical experience supporting recruitment in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment Coordination

Post approved job advertisements across the ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other recruitment platforms.
Maintain accurate candidate records, application statuses, interview notes, and hiring documentation in the ATS.
Conduct phone-screen interviews using established screening criteria and document candidate responses and recommendations.
Coordinate interviews, assessments, and candidate meetings based on instructions from the recruitment lead.
Send interview confirmations, reminders, assessments, and follow-up communications to candidates.
Communicate rejections to candidates who have been marked for rejection.
Monitor recruitment inboxes and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member.
Support reference checks and other approved pre-employment verification activities.
Prepare interview schedules, candidate profiles, scorecards, and related materials for the recruitment team.
Help ensure candidates receive a professional, responsive, and consistent experience throughout the hiring process.

Recruitment Administration

Maintain recruitment trackers, candidate pipelines, requisition records, and offer-status reports.
Assist with collecting and organizing recruitment metrics, including application volume, interviews, offers, hiring sources, and time-to-fill data.
Complete initial resume reviews against established minimum qualifications.
Identify missing information, overdue recruitment actions, and candidates requiring follow-up.
Support recruitment audits and data-cleanup activities to ensure records remain complete and accurate.
Prepare recurring recruitment updates under the direction of the Manager, Recruitment and HR Enablement.

Co-op and Campus Recruitment Support

Support job postings and applications for future co-op recruitment terms.
Maintain co-op student and work-placement trackers.
Assist with SWPP applications and supporting documentation.
Track relevant application deadlines, documentation requirements, and placement information.
Support campus recruitment activities, career fairs, hiring events, and open-house interviews.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
Eligible to complete a formal co-op or work-integrated learning term.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to conduct structured phone-screen interviews confidently and professionally.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, email, calendars, and digital systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Ability to handle personal and confidential information with discretion.
Previous customer service, administrative, recruitment, or HR experience is an asset.
Experience with an applicant tracking system or HRIS is an asset.
Proficiency in using AI and automation tools to increase efficiency and streamline workflows is an asset.

We use artificial intelligence tools to support parts of our recruitment process, such as screening or assessing applications. Final hiring decisions are made by our hiring team.
