About Bird&Be

Bird&Be is a direct-to-consumer fertility brand on a mission to help people build families faster through our doctor-backed fertility products. Our goal is to help educate our customers on their fertility health early, and help them take action quickly with personalized supplements scientifically proven to impact outcomes, and at-home tests that help them get answers sooner. All while changing the face of fertility: without blue and pink boxes, plastered with photos of white babies. Our brand reflects the modern millennial.

Since launching in the summer of 2021 we've been growing quickly in the fertility space, doubling our revenue year over year. We were founded by a team of fertility warriors and doctors and are supported by top-tier investors who all want to change the current fertility experience. About the role

We're seeking a technical, detail-oriented Ecommerce Product Manager to own our Shopify ecosystem end-to-end, drive our website roadmap, and manage the external agencies who build and design it. This role is for someone who can go deep on the Shopify app stack, has a sharp eye for design and UX, and can hold agencies accountable to a high bar.

In this role you will:

Manage our Shopify website and ecosystem

Own our Shopify store and all associated third-party apps (Recharge, Klaviyo, Gorgias, OctaneAI, and others)
Have a deep working knowledge of the Shopify app ecosystem - know what's out there, evaluate new tools, and make the call on what to install or cut
Oversee and optimize conversion tactics like our Quiz, cross sells, upsells etc.
Act as the internal subject matter expert on all things Shopify and our website

Own our ecommerce web and design agency relationship

Manage our external web development and design agency day-to-day: set priorities, review deliverables, and keep work on scope, on time, and on brand
Bring a critical eye for design. You can tell the difference between "technically finished" and actually good, and you push back when work doesn't meet the bar
Translate business and merchandising needs into clear briefs and requirements the agency can execute against
Partner with designers and developers to scope, prioritize, and ship site improvements

Improve website conversion and user experience

Maintain and optimize the core shopping journey: search, navigation, product reviews, and browse experience
Own day-to-day website merchandising - product catalog, collections, and product pages
Develop and execute product education strategies that highlight key features, benefits, and unique selling points
Own and execute an a/b testing roadmap and roll out. We should have tests running at all times.
Monitor and analyze merchandising and site performance, and report out weekly

Perform technical troubleshooting

Troubleshoot customer issue escalations (account login, payment updates, subscription management) and escalate to the right third-party support channel when needed

Your Experience

You've worked in ecommerce, ideally at a DTC brand
You've used Shopify Plus and Recharge as a merchant, and you know your way around the broader Shopify app ecosystem
You're technical: comfortable in the Shopify admin, theme editor, and app configs, and not afraid of a bit of code or a technical spec
You have experience managing external agencies or vendors - briefing them, holding them to deadlines, and pushing back on subpar work
You have a strong, opinionated eye for design and can spot when something isn't good enough, even if you're not the one designing it
You're creative - you propose solutions to problems you haven't necessarily seen before
You default to action: proactive, resourceful, and quick to just go figure it out
You can shift priorities fast, show initiative, and work autonomously
You're a pro multi-tasker who ruthlessly prioritizes in an environment where there's always more to do than time to do it
You're familiar with G Suite, Slack, and other modern web platforms and tools
You're flexible and thrive in a fast-changing, sometimes chaotic environment

Success Metrics

In this role, you will be measured by:

Increased website conversion rates
Quality and speed of agency deliverables against roadmap
Reduced time-to-resolution for technical issues

Hours + Location

This is a salaried, full-time position. Option for a contract position may be available.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
This is a remote position and requires a reliable work-from-home setup, including a laptop/desktop with the latest OS and a stable internet connection
