Original job description

Quality Control AdministratorReporting to the Quality Lead, the Quality Control Administrator will work directly with the execution team to ensure that work completed by Bird Construction meets all company and client specifications.

You would be joining the East Harbour Transit Hub Alliance that is designing and building a new railway station that will connect 3 different rail lines and improve the daily commute of thousands of riders. This position is based in at the site office, 415 Eastern Ave, Toronto.

What You Will Be Working On

Preparation of quality and completion reports, monitoring and maintaining documentation for the quality management team.
Ensure that all quality and completion records associated with the management system are kept organized and filed in the construction quality record system.
Ensure progression compilation on completed works is recorded in reporting system
Ensure that all non-comforting product, activity or procedure is recorded in the non-conformance reporting system
Track status of all inspections and tests to ensure that all non-comforting product, activity or procedure is recorded in the non-conformance reporting system
Follow up with project team on overdue observations and actions
Perform and assist with a variety of administrative duties as required
Understand and adhere to Bird’s safety management system, policies, procedures and values.

What We Are Looking For

Post-secondary education, such as a degree or diploma in a related field, and/or relevant combination of experience.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an administrator or document controller, construction industry experience is an asset.
Experience in datamining and filtering
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and proven decision-making skills.
Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills.
Problem solving abilities, contribution to new quality initiatives, striving for continuous improvements and accurate record keeping will be key to your success in this role.
