Student Automation Analyst

Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project that will allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving support from an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths and development areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.

We are seeking a student to join us for a 8 or 12 month co-op position starting in January 2027. This position will be based out of Winnipeg, MB.

What You Will Be Working On

Under supervision of the PMO technical lead or independently complete the following activities:

Design and develop custom business applications using PowerApps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
Build and optimize automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
 Integrate Power Platform solutions with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Dataverse, SQL Server, and other data sources.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and deliver scalable solutions.
Test solutions thoroughly to validate functionality, identify and resolve issues, and ensure solutions meet business requirements before deployment.
Develop reports, dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
Maintain and enhance existing Power Platform solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Ensure solutions follow best practices for security, performance, and governance.
Support Project Management Office activities, including reporting, data management, and process improvement.
Work with the PMO team and project managers to identify business and technology needs and recommend opportunities for automation, standardization, or process improvement.
Assist with maintaining and improving PMO tools, templates, processes, and reporting solutions.
Provide documentation, training, and support to end users.
Ensure documentation is maintained in approved repositories in accordance with company standards.
Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform updates and recommend improvements.

You are currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Business Analysis, Computer Science, or related discipline.  
You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship and possess a GPA of 3.0 or higher 
Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently 
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships Exemplify the Ideal Team Player – Hungry, Humble, Smart
Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills 
Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude 
Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction or one of our wholly owned subsidiaries

Responsibilities
