Original job description
The Maintenance Assistant works within the Maintenance Team and is responsible for performing quick lube services as well as minor mechanical repairs and other duties in an efficient and timely manner. The Maintenance Assistant is expected to be a team player in the Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities include:
- Quick lube program
- Minor repairs
- Tractor detailing, sanitization
- Decal removal
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly checklists
- General shop/yard clean up
- Customer and internal DPF filter cleaning
- Assistance in the other departments as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid G/Class 5 driver's license
- Minimum Grade 12 required or enrolled in a High School Apprenticeship Program
- Must have mechanical aptitude
- Able to perform manual labour
- Adaptable and able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Capable of multi-tasking and achieving required deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Detailed oriented
- Basic computer skills
Shift:
- Weekend shift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hours of work from 06:00-18:30

Responsibilities
Perform quick lube services, minor mechanical repairs, tractor detailing and sanitization, decal removal, and customer or internal DPF filter cleaning. Complete routine checklists, maintain shop and yard cleanliness, support other departments as needed, and carry out additional assigned duties.
Requirements
Applicants must have a valid G/Class 5 driver's license and either a minimum Grade 12 education or enrollment in a High School Apprenticeship Program. They must have mechanical aptitude, be able to perform manual labor, and demonstrate adaptability, independence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, deadline management, and basic computer skills.
