Project Control Officer - Intermediate (Supply Chain / Procurement)

Location: University Ave, Toronto, ON (Hybrid Work Model, up to 3 days onsite per week subject to Hiring Manager's discretion)
Term: Start Date: October 19, 2026 | End Date: March 31, 2027 (113 Business Days)

Position Summary

Our client requires an intermediate Project Control Officer (PCO) to support internal procurement activities and corporate services processes. The PCO will work closely with the Supply Chain (Procurement) and project management teams to facilitate procurement needs, handle system data entry, maintain comprehensive audit trails, and ensure all project processes strictly comply with Ontario Health policies and standards.

Must-Have Requirements

4+ years of experience with, and a strong understanding of, procurement principles, methodologies, and processes.
4+ years of hands-on experience being proficient with procurement systems such as Workday, Flextrack, and/or eSourcing.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups of internal and external clients while providing exceptional customer service.
Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and MS Teams document repositories.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure sourcing documents, requests, and specifications are complete, accurate, and compliant.
Complete necessary data entries and tracking updates into applicable enterprise procurement systems (e.g., Workday and Flextrack).
Maintain required project and procurement documents, ensuring a complete, audit-ready paper and digital trail.
Analyze information, prepare status reports, and compile procurement documentation as requested.
Route documents for formal signature via tools like DocuSign, monitor project document repositories, and ensure all records are properly archived.
Assist project managers by tracking project requirements, identifying potential risks, providing updates, and escalating issues when necessary.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience working within the public sector or healthcare environments.
Knowledge of fundamental Project Management concepts (project goals, risk, scope, planning, and quality management).
Experience supporting multiple project managers to ensure deliverables are met on time and adhere to agency standards.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven accountability and delivery capability.
Ability to handle client relationships, manage expectations, provide regular status updates, and mitigate potential conflicts between project and functional areas
